What If? What If? The Mamono from MGE replaced Chaos during the Great Crusade?

As the title says, this occurs during the Great Crusade and long before Horus gets stabbed and infected in order to get him corrupted by Chaos in Erebus’ plot

How will things go when somehow ROB replaces Chaos and the Daemons with MGE’s Demon Lord and her Mamono, with the latter also being a corruptive mutating infection

And yes, odds are the Laer Sword is still not something you should lay your hands on

What do Erebus and Kor Phaeron do?

(Inspired by this fic)

They die. Horribly. There are far more horrific things, and also far less horrific things in the warp than Chaos and you did nothing to replace them. And really, nothing to say of the horrific things that will happen to them when the try to steal something that already has been bespoken for...

I think this scene from the TTS short speaks for itself (couldn't find a clip, so I just linked to the correct time stamp)

Further, the whole thing brought up by Nightmare to Come is...well inspired by canon, there are places in the warp that even the Chaos Gods fear to tread. And things that give even them the willies.

Astartes are asexual right? No snu-snu ever

Yes. Though some chapters recruit/can recruit later, so they can have children from before... Salamanders I believe are the only ones with any sort of family life, when off-duty they live in their home villages and are a sort of elder.

Speaking of the Thousand Sons, I recall Ahzek Ahriman doing meditation and making wine amongst the civilian populace whilst talking to a psyker remembrancer

Strange how Terrans like him got so well accepted and integrated with the populace of his Primarch’s Homeworld and the other Legionnaires from Prospero

Whereas guys like Ignatius Grulgor were waiting for the old guard like Nathaniel Garro, a Terran to die off, because the Barbarous Death Guard were the True Death Guard

Probably, because Prospero was an open and enlightened society (who had a weird blind spot involving the warp, even though they had contact with hostile warp critters) and probably, because the Death Guard from Barbarus were bitter cunts.

I’ve heard before that Prospero was meant to be a “trap” for Magnus where he’s raised amongst a culture of people with acceptance of psychic powers and knowledge, but he would take it farther than even they would say to be safe

There is a sort of arrogance that some people have wherein they repeatedly go on about how they had it “so much harder” when they were younger therefore you’re a spoiled pampered fat brat

Not sure what Albia was like before or during or after the Unification Wars, but given that there were wars even before them and crazy warlords, I wouldn’t say it was cozy and there’s the fact that Garro was around since the Unification Wars and before Mortarion was found or the rest were recruited....can’t diss on your senpai as being unworthy
