Look at this map.
See how there's icy mountains to the north? Icy mountains to the east? Broken ice chunks to the south? And probably to the far west as well.
Now, how about all that was actually near the South Pole? Hidden away by a glamour. That not even the inhabitants know about. The sun, and moon, that Celestia and Luna move are a part of that glamour. And not the real ones.
So, here we have a hidden land on the bottom of the world. And then suddenly one day... the glamour breaks. The fake sky, stars, sun, moon, etc. are gone. The fake sheet of ice that the rest of the real world saw is gone. Now these once hidden lands are exposed to Earth.
The time is somewhere in the 1980s. Reagan is the President of the US. And now this new land is showing up on satellite images.
How will the world react to this? How will the hidden lands react to this? Will there be war, or instead peace?
