What if Bulgaria joined Mussolini's 1940 attack on Greece?

What if Bulgaria joined Mussolini's 1940 attack on Greece, either as part of a premeditated simultaneous assault, or as an inspired, newly recruited ally within 4 weeks of the Italians starting the attack.

How does that change the Italo-Greek war and subsequent events in the Balkans?

Even if the Bulgarians take back most or all of the territories that they lost in WWI, they would still have a short front line with Greece that would likely be easy for the Greeks to defend. So, no meaningful chances until the Germans decide to enter the war in early 1941, as in real life, most likely.

First off, the Greek-Bulgarian border is not small, not by a longshot.

No idea what the state of the Greek army was back then, but we weren't in a good economic position after multiple national catastrophes and the odd bit of terrorism and economic collapse.

On the other hand, there were also lots of Bulgarians yeeted out from Thrace and Macedonia that will probably be happy to join in on smashing some Greeks.
Lots of veterans from the Balkan wars and WWI, too.

I think the main thrust will be towards Thessaloniki and the other north-eastern parts of Greece, thus giving us an useful bypass of the Bosporus, also, letting the Italians move through our territory will help their war effort and we can be used as garrison troops.

Considering the, oh 1500 years of bad blood between us and them and the stab in the back after the first Balkan war, well, they just might prefer to be occupied by Italians.

The Greek-Bulgarian border/front line will become much shorter if Bulgaria will conquer northern Thrace, though. It can't conquer Macedonia yet since Yugoslavia isn't hostile towards Bulgaria yet and since Nazi Germany doesn't want to attack Yugoslavia just quite yet.
