Reports and posts about Games Workshop, Amazon Studios and notably Warhammer fan and Actor Henry Cavill working on Warhammer 40K (and possibly Warhammer Fantasy related) series for Amazon's Streaming Service Have Been About Ever Since Games Workshop Published a Press Release Back in December of 2022 About the Purchase of Rights to Warhammer by Amazon and Henry Cavill's involvement.

Amazon has been on a rights buying spree of other popular franchises as well, including Fallout and God of War as well as their current ongoing mutilation of the Lord of the Rings franchise but overall Amazon's track record has been seen as generally mixed.

Nerd Cookies recently did a short video detailing "everything" we know about Amazon's attempted Warhammer 40K 'Cinematic Universe.'

A large source comes from Henry Cavill's social media posts but also a recent official confirmation that a Warhammer project has entered the 'Production Phase' with a full agreement contract recently signed and allowing Amazon to begin hiring cast and crew, starting with groups of screenwriters including Henry Cavill as a Executive Producer to be involved in the development and writing process.

40K is going to be very, very hard to do justice.

It's so massively over The TOP! That means any attempt to make a TV show will be mostly special effects. That'll be hard to invoke emotion with.

Honestly? If I was doing something in 40k, I'd be looking at Ciaphas Cain and other, less excessive possibles, rather than Space Marines and Primarchs and the like.

Once I'd done an Inquistor series, and Commissar series, then I'd look at a political drama, with the High Lords of Terra or something.

Any pure war show's not going to keep peoples attention easily, and a lot of 40k's going to be in that mold.

(Although, now I'm thinking about it, faction specific mock-umentaries could be brilliant.)

Probably a good thread topic to discuss, of how you would approach creating a "Warhammer Universe" for film and television and the like.
