But things like Trump bashing or other woke narratives (maybe the Ventrue as the white oppressors and the Brujah as black heroes violently opposing them, drooling over communism etc) then I won't be able to enjoy it, for sure.
Problem is the trailers for the various clans did exactly that. The Brujah reveal was a heroic stronk black wahmyn blowing up some rich guy's car before beating him to death.

That trailer was an acceptable amount of pandering. It seemed to be the typical Brujah-flavor of evil and showed an image of the Prince as her concept of evil. It's not different from the presentation of other Brujah characters.

Now, if it goes beyond typical Brujah rebel against the system, presents them as unquestionably good, or mentions real world politics, I won't buy.

A black woman doing Brujah shit? It's just a different race and gender from other Brujah characters.

Finally something literally no one asked for!

This should help capitalize on the utter lack of battle royale style games that are out on the marketplace these past few years.

So many that they bowed to the pressure and made them PCs ...
And I don't see an issue with that. If people want to play Technocracy, now they can. Its not like they are forcing people to play Technocracy. Do what you want. Its a tabletop rpg and thus you play what your DM creates. Whats the issue?

For people who go on about how they want to be free and do what they want and this is why they are Mages, they sure love lecturing people about what they should believe and play rather then letting them actually play what they want.

Oh that's nonsense and you know it. Those are just flavors for the settings in question rather than meaningful statements that are supposed to be taken as serious philosophy. The Dresden Files series has angels, demons, fallen angels, holy warriors that wield magical swords with nails from the actual cross embedded into them. Does that mean the Dresden Files is a Christian book series that advocates Christianity? No, it's just a fun background flavor for blowing shit up. Just like consensual reality or warriors of mother nature and crap like that.
People do like to take it seriously and apply real life politics into it. The setting has to as per them mirror real life instead of doing its own thing for some reason.

Like who? A couple dozen LARPists nobody gives a fuck about?
SVers for example how it does not match real life anymore and its why its bad or the creators who have the updated setting match the current 2020s instead of doing its own thing. Never mind you have those who insert capitalism bad arguments into it on reddit.

You may say that this is not mainstream but is majority of White Wolf stuff mainstream? No.

No no I'm sure white wolf is interested in just portraying political conflict without any kind of agenda.

Yeah it's good stuff:

That video certainly brings some ill omens I wasn't aware of.

Well this is tabletop but yeah... Good grief.

He has only expanded his concerns; in addition to advocating for fellow mortal minorities, he now champions Gangrel kept out of havens and feeding grounds by sprawl, stands up for female Kindred in cities run by traditionally misogynistic elders, and encourages the adoption of progressive norms over tradition wherever possible. Some might think Rudi’s combination of practicing Islam and unabashed queerness contradictory, but few challenge the “Bear Gangrel” with this notion.

I dunno, all factions just dropping all pretense and having a go at each other could be pretty fun to watch. Not so much the videogame, but the idea is funny.

But this has nothing to do with the books "promoting eco terrorism" because there are eco-warrior werewolves in it or some other shit like that.

Yeah the idea of it isn't that bad at its most basic. But it seems to illustrate some of the issues with the game overall perhaps. Hopefully not for any fans of the franchise (especially the prior game) but a Battle Royale system is something that wasn't even on the radar, as fun as it could potentially be having all of the various vampire clan variants going to town on each other.

Oh yeah, and the werewolves serving Mother Earth routinely carried out genocides to keep humans in line, something that left a genetic trauma in all modern homo sapiens. But it's still wrong to carry a long overdue genocide out on the werewolves.
By this logic Israel should strive to carry out genocide against the Germans.

We don't cause jewish people to undergo a full-blown PTSD episode everytime you see us. We also don't openly plan and work to have another go at Israel. Which is something most of the werewolfs of World of Darkness want to do, namely return to the "good" old times where humans were cattle for the wolves to lord over and butcher at their leisure.

Oh, I see, you mean people actually doing it from what they read in the books. People likely did so in the game. Thats cause they don't have the balls to actually do it in real life but they really do believe that drastic measures are needed to save the planet like destroying the economy or having everyone live in pods or just don't have kids, etc.

. I wouldn't say all Werewolves have such thoughts but there are groups and individuals that do.

Look, today's writers are woke, it goes for D&D and many other properties too, these people (and I use the term loosely) have infiltrated many companies. But the themes themselves have nothing to do with wokeness. The "eco-warrior" thing is just a cool excuse to rip shit to shreds. Nobody is trying to brainwash your youth via PnP RPGs (at least, not until very recently).

Hey the based irish dogboys are nothing but a boon to the world, and the autistic glasswalkers are harmless pets as long as you throw them a fidget spinner or leave out some legos for them.

Said werewolves also genocided one of their own clans and most of the other animal-shifters for inane reasons, and a whole other clan decided jumping en masse into the setting's version of the Eye of Terror was a genius idea.

I wasn't saying this was a bad thing.
