Unnumbered Sons replace the Clone Army.

So the nine formations of Primaris Space Marine Brotherhoods colloquially known as the Unnumbered Sons replace the Clone Army right before the Battle of Geonosis. The size of a single Brotherhood is 40000 Primaris + the vehicle crews, Apothecaries, Librarians, Techmarines, Chaplains, logistics and HQ units, etc... as stated in the novel Dawn of Fire.

So this brings a total of 360000 Primaris + support elements to the war against the Confedetation of Independent Systems. Assume the naval assets they bring to the war includes a thousand battle barges, six thousand strike cruisers and around twenty thousand Rapid Strike Vessels.

Their goal is to help the Republic bring the rebelling systems back in line. Assume the Jedi are also replaced by these Primaris Marines. So the war is fought by Primaris + local Republic Planetary forces (that AFAIK made up the bulk of the Grand Army of the Republic).

And two subscenarios, the first being that this takes place in Disney canon, the second being that this takes place in Legends canon.

Given that the clone army numbered in the millions, and thst there were far more clones than just what came out of Kamino the Space Marines (Not calling them primaris, fuck GW and their copyright shenanigans!)

Assuming competent leadership and depending on how much Wars whank OP permits it might be possible thst they would get overstretched or thst the CIS will manage to push the republic bank a lot further than in the original timeline.

But the individual superiority of the Space Marines can make up for lower numbers if they are all led well and only used to strike st strategically important targets.

Regardless of the scale of the galaxy, Nine Brotherhoods of 360,000 Primaris Space Marines total plus the Vehicles and Space Assets is more formidable the six or seven million Clone troopers that were stated to be grown for the Republic in Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

It's harder to wonder the impact of a thousand battle barges, six thousand cruisers and twenty thousand rapid strike vessels since we don't know how many ships the Cloners of Kamino asked Rothana Shipyards to secretly develop and construct for the Republic in Project Icefang. There were only twenty (twelve on screen) Acclamator Assault Ships in the Battle of Geonosis but ordered a thousand more Acclamators after the Battle. There were also a thousand Venators present at the Battle of Coruscant towards the end of Clone Wars several years later. We could be very generous and say two thousand of each were manufactured just for the Clone Army to use as a basis of comparison.

I'm no expert but seven thousand major ships is over three times as much as two thousand ships minimum and even if you double the number... its still just over half of the number of ships the Space Marine Brotherhoods can bring.

And while I would think your typical Clonetrooper is better then your typical Imperial Guardsman are 16-20 Clonetroopers better then one Primaris Space Marine? Maybe in a straight up fight it's possible, depending on the context but typically I think a Primaris Space Marine would be generally more valuable then a squad and a half of Clonetroopers and are far more effective force multipliers due to their abilities and training and the like.

The other benefit is that the Brotherhoods hav their Librarians as well. There were only ten or twenty thousand Jedi at the time of all ranks. If you state that there are maybe 10 or 20 Librarians per one thousand Space Marines, then you'd have between 9000-18000 trained Primaris Space Marine Librarians. Even if all Jedi are equivalent to Librarians, the latter would have the advantage as they don't have any younglings and padawans and the like that are still training and Jedi in various non-combat roles and the like.

So I do think the Primaris Space Marine Brotherhoods would do better then the Clone Armies... and might make Chancellor Palpatine hot under the collar as well. :p

What I'd really want to do is see what kind of Republic Army that can be built around the Primaris Space Marines since it won't have to be all uniformish Clone Troopers now. :p
