As in, he decides to spend much of his time learning non-combat oriented skills as possible

Making paintings, mosaics, statues, sculptors, architecture

And even learning things such as medicine, metallurgy, economics, negotiation, history, geography and so on

Maybe even planning on doing research or writing books?

How would he be received by others in the longterm should he be known to be an expert in so many fields and perhaps even having helped the Westerlands-Economy and Smallfolk?
