The Americas The Tyranny of Trudeau's Canada

Bill Clinton should’ve just admitted that “yes, I cheated on my wife but in my defense, I’m married to Hillary Clinton“ and watched the rights’ collective heads explode as they tried to decide whether to attack him and in doing so defend Hillary or vice versa.
MSM tried to spin it as "ultra conservative bible thumbers reeing over a little infidelity that isn't even their business"

1. it is our business, because if he betrays his wife and children, why wouldn't he betray the commoners unrelated to him?

2. it had nothing to do with moral conservatism. The issue was the coverup. If bill admitted it, there would be no case. it is perfectly legal for a president to cheat on his wife. But he attempted to cover it up, during the coverup he committed a bunch of crimes. If any commoner committed these crimes they would be in prison, he wasn't

I had some fun in 2016. I was always hearing how Trump stole the election. I was also hearing about sexism and how America isn't ready for a woman President.

Fun time...

"Do you think Trump stole the 2016 election?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'THINK?' HE DID YOU CIS-MALE PIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Okayyyy, then, if he stole the election then Hillary must have won the popular vote. Therefore you cannot say this country is not ready for a woman President."
"WOMEN ARE OPPRESSED HERE YOU CHAUVINIST!!!! YOU MEN CAN'T HANDLE WOMEN IN AUTHORITY!!!"
"Okayyy then, for whatever reason Trump then won the popular vote. How then could he have stolen the election?"

Ever see that old "Star Trek" with the androids where Kirk & Co. got the smoke pouring out of Norman's ears? I made it happen too.

Incidentally, I hunted down the "study."

It turned out to be by a pair of career climatologist whose' paychecks rely on continuing to publish papers about how we need more carbon tax so a bit of perverse incentives there.

Some highlights for the TL;DR Crowd:

In the abstract we note that they're proposing taxes several orders of magnitude higher than the sample data they used as a base but they're sure that won't make any big difference. Also, they're angry because existing carbon taxes have perverse incentives and send the wrong message.

On page 3 we run into "the free market will provide." They're sure these taxes won't wind up affecting the people because they'll just adjust their spending habits and buy something besides electricity and food. No, I have no idea where they got the idea that basic necessities are highly economically elastic.

Same page, we find they're not actually examining their base data at all, but rather "projections" of what they think will happen.

Get a load of their "projections" on page 15. They're predicting sharp and severe deflation in the immediate future, with their massive carbon tax causing things to level out again. That's... a creative way to say you're not causing inflation.

Man-made global climate change is a problem.

The problem is our society is run by doofuses whose "solutions" will either accomplish nothing or make the problems worse. Meanwhile they will hurt a lot of people.

Look, one of the main causes would be our reliance on petroleum. This was something the great Nikola Tesla tried to avert but he was fighting a losing fight. As a result we are dependent on a resource which pollutes, has caused plenty of geopolitical strife, and- is finite. Sooner or later it will run out, and as with anything in a free market the scarcer it gets the more expensive it will get. Think fuel prices are bad now? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Now imagine an abundant FREE energy source (and it is NOT nuclear power, which Tesla condemned). You have a car which does not need gas. A truck- no diesel needed. I drive for a Mennonite farmer, delivering milk. The price of diesel even at the cheapest place, all total, for a two-way trip? About $130.00, twice a week. Figure then about $1000 A MONTH, and that's rounded down somewhat. And that does not include the price of fuel for farm machinery and the like!

People would be free of energy debt. They would have their own electricity. No big corporations, no government meddling. FREEDOM. And a cleaner world to boot!

Tesla's tower idea literally explicitly called for a conventional power plant at the base of his tower.
His idea was to wirelessly transmit the electricity for anyone to just pick up off the air and use at no cost to the end user. With the govt financing the power plants
It was not magic energy out of nothing nor a magic perpetual motion machine.

And he wasn't stopped for wanting it to be free.
He got a contract to build a radio tower, and instead defrauded the company he contracted with and tried to build his tesla power transmitting tower instead of the radio tower he was hired to build.

what happened?
A bit of old news, but during the great honkening, mounted police trampled an indigenous elder.
The usual 'we must do anything for the oppressed natives' was immediately replaced with 'she threw a bicycle at the horse!'

Which of course, never happened, and is absolutely insane to think happened.

She was on a mobility scooter and they trampled her with a horse. Naturally it never occurred to any of these people that a Native would also be pro-freedom and anti-vax mandates.
You untamed savages-...Hehe, I mean 'vulnerable minorities', need to learn your place and listen to big brother.
You wouldn't want to be grouped with those nasty conspiracy theorists, would you? ;D

Hot on the trails of the Maui wildfires, apparently Yellowknife of all places is getting that treatment too.

Yeah, I’d rather trust the extremists over the so called experts, who are just globalist elite subhumans.

I don't believe the "It was the 'globalist' space lasers" conspiracy nonsense, but it sure as hell was not a natural event.
Just some pinko commie retards lighting up a forest on the payroll of some NGO, and incompetent paid-off political leaders letting it happen.

The temperature in Yellowknife yesterday was 14 degrees Celsius. Hardly a hot temperature for a forest fire, but it would be the work of arsonists in this case.
