The Heir of the Romanov Family is "Found" After The Soviet Union Falls.

After the Soviet Union falls a faction of monarchists manage to "find" the long lost granddaughter of Anastasia Romanov. With the backing of the Orthodox Church and several people within government this lost heir is able to make a Strong claim for the throne. Things to note of said heir
  1. Heir is a 17 years of age female Russian-American
  2. Is a strong nationalist traditionalist that wishes to bring a sort of Russian Renaissance
  3. Is a staunch anti-communist and wishes to stomp it out.
  4. Wishes to ally with America and essentially continue where McArthur left off in terms of flushing out communism both in Russia and the US
  5. DNA test prove to inconclusive, though testimony and circumstantial evidence seems to back the claim. (We know now this claim will be false, but this wouldn't have been known at the time.)
What's the best bet in ensuring her claim to the Throne? If she succeeds and is coronated, what happens afterward?

One tiny little problem: The Romanovs did not allow female succession after 1797 due to the Pauline Laws. The only exception, of course, would be if all of the Romanov males had already died out, but in that case the last surviving Romanov male's closest female relative would inherit the throne assuming that she herself would have been qualified for this had she been born a male. It's worth noting that there was also a royal or at least noble marriage requirement for Romanov dynasts in Russia due to the Pauline Laws.

ah true, didn't know that. Do you think those laws would have been waved given the state of Russia during the time this scenario takes place in?

Funny enough, among several other Romanov descendants that are still alive, Prince Aleksander Karadjordjevic is another potential claimant on the Russian throne, but yeah, you'd be better off finding Romanov descendants than an actual long lost Romanov heir.

Alright, let's say that happens, then what? What are some logistic hurdles to establish an effective transition and what do they do after they succeed? How does Russia change on the personal and world stage going forward?

i feel like a possibility would be the Nazi Germans getting their paws on her and using her as a puppet after Barbarossa.

like how Puyi was a Japanese puppet

Though she might not agree to this deal if she feels that the Germans are raping her Russian homeland.
