Developed in coordination with Lockheed Martin, the F-X is planning on having its first flight in 2024. It is planned for this new fighter jet to also have technology not even available on the latest American fighter jets.

Some of the features include a VR style helmet display and a microwave radar weapon that can potentially fry incoming missiles.

It will also have something called Ground Attack capability which is a new thing for Japan's military as previously they had to turn the plane upside down and drop hand grenades out of the canopy.

Other rumored features include rotary missile batteries, variable geometry and magical girl piloting assistance.

OOh, a popular mechanics article. Where counter-intel hires go when they get fired for being too outlandish with their claims.

VR style helemnt, we've been using those for decades, not even sure why it is mentioned. Microwave weapons are very questionable, because there is only so much power-plant you can put in a plane. Sounds more like they are misunderstanding a feature of an Electronic warfare suite.

Thanks!
Meesa too dumb to notice!

According to my anonymous sources the wing blades will be folded by the ancesters of Samurai blacksmiths over a thousand times, creating the most pure wing frames ever used and allow slashing attacks against the enemy aircraft. Combined with a reduced RCS it means they'll be able to strike their enemies down stealthily in a form of aerial iaido.
