The Ending of Current Cop Shows

Should the current Cop Shows be scrapped?

It's rather negative, really. The live-action, 'follow cops on the beat' shows were a positive force and remained as such--having cameras on-scene recording officer interactions with the public is just like body-cams in its capacity for goodness and capturing poor behavior (or exculpatory behavior) of officers.

I think the last drama cop-show I ever watched (off-and-on, and petering off after a while) was Castle.
And then mainly because Nathan Fillion is rather attractive and the writers had some clever lines/gags (and it was rarely of any seriousness).

Rookie is his new one (Though is more serious at times then Castle was.)

Getting rid of the follow the cop shows gets rid of showing what the police are good for.
