Fallout The Enclave made contact with The Institute?

How would things go if during the events of Fallout 2 or before that, the Enclave somehow made contact with the earlier Institute that wasn’t as advanced with Synths as they are now?

I think the Institute were already increasingly becoming just for themselves and their research, though I don’t think they had the same resources or compounded knowledge as of the events of Fallout 4

I assume the earlier Enclave do just this

I wonder though how the Institute would take the latter’s fullblown genocidal tendencies and nationalism

I think part of why they were getting Ghouls in Diamond City banned was because they HATE “the Old World” and the fact that there are Ghouls who were around before the War means there are guys who can talk about it and make people miss it instead of wanting whatever future the Institute wants to make

Considering how convoluted the Institutes "planning" was in Fallout 4, I think putting a gun to their head would be the only way to properly focus them properly and keep them on task, which isn't the best for efficiency.
