It looked like a cross between a Gorilla and a Chimp in the face. It was 8ft tall with dark brown hair. And it was staring daggers at me. So I backed up to my car and got the hell away from it.

Probably good you de-escalated the situation, but still might not have been too much to worry about. Most Great Apes are essentially pacifists on steroids and would really rather not hurt you. Case in point, Gorillas will fake charge you just to make you go away.

Two good comments I immediately notice in the comments section:

"The person last in the line is wearing a light coloured garment around their neck. The person who trots forward when the others stop has quick movements, appears small and maybe an adolescent. The adolescent is holding something in their right hand, possibly a camera, or holding the top of their coat together. The legs are long, the arms are short. This is a family of humans. (I have seen this posted elsewhere as a Bigfoot video.)"

"The way the first one is walking it sure looks like a person walking in snow shoes to me, same shuffle. Any others seeing that?"

And I agree with these comments. they are walking like humans especially the lead one in the front; the stride is was too quick and short to be a large and powerful ape creature.

It is actually moving the way a large and powerful bipedal creature with very wide back and long arms, would move across uneven snowy terrain and it has a confident and powerful stride.

And here is another interesting one. Harder to tell what is going on in this one but it is interesting footage nonetheless:

Yeah I know they are bi-pedal. But they would have very wide shoulders and very long arms and as such a massive wingspan; this would give them a very powerful, long and leveraged and confident stride. They certainly wouldn't be walking like in that video from yellowstone.

Many people have reported them walking just like that from time to time. Just like not every person walks the same. Not every Bigfoot walks the same.

Here's my theory on them: there is a good chance they exist somewhere in the woods of North America and Siberia. But, they are not as large as some people like to claim. 8 foot tall "looking like gorilla on steroids" 600 plus pound apes are not keeping a low profile. sorry, just not happening. they would just need way too much food. my theory is they are more around human size but with bio mechanically stronger proportions and certainly carnivorous.

They seem to keep a low profile here in SC just find. I think people underestimate just how many large animals are in various states. People have seen them in Orangeburg , Calhoun, Berkeley Dorchester and Greenville Counties. And have so since colonial times. And my Tribe since way before the arrival of the White Man.

If you mean almas,that they live in Siberia and part of Mongolia - they are red hair and 6th foot tall.
When soviet checked bones of son of one/female captured by humans,she had 4 children,but they could not found her grave,only her son/ they discovered some DNA which do not exist among rest of population.
