Just saw the trailer pop up in my recommendation list. I watched most of the trailer just now but stopped before the end. It looked like one of those trailers that shows a summation of the first three quarters of the movie. I actually like Nicholas Cage as an Actor in general and he's made a few diamonds in this rough time of his career and he's never phoned in a performance. I can't really say I feel his role here might win me over to actually wanting to see the movie in theaters or anything based off of the trailer.

Having read the original HP Lovecraft story, its readily obvious that this film is taking some liberties with the story itself... most obviously in that the film is taking place in a modern contemporary setting as opposed to a century ago when the original story was written and takes place among other things.

If you have any interest in watching the film, maybe seeing the trailer wouldn't be the best thing since like I said earlier it's one of those that seems very over-revealing.

Not sold on wanting to see this one by a longshot, but it is nice to see Lovecraft material still being adapted for the big screen so I hope their final product is something more then what the trailer seems to allude to... which looks like another high quality Blumhouse style production rather then the growing otherworldly dread and slow burning horror I might've been hoping for.
