That's one that would need some significant reworking. Given that much of the comedy comes from Genma repeatedly selling Ranma to strangers (for as little as a single pickle ones) for marriage purposes even as a small child, it would become very, very dark and have human trafficking overtones if Ranma was female.
I’m not necessarily a gender bending fan, but in some cases it works. There are a number of female versions of Disney’s Hades that really work. In fact, I think the blue fire aesthetic may actually work better on women:
