Stellaris Galaxy vs Warhammer40k Galaxy

It's that time of the year again, this time though there's been several DLC's since this topic was last discussed. So here's the scenario.

Stellaris Galaxy
  • All Fallen Empires (Ancient Caretakers, Enigmatic Observers, Keepers of Knowledge, Holy Guardians, Militant Isolationists)
  • Two Mid Game Federations with three Empires in each Federation.
  • Two End Game Empires one is a Nemesis Commonwealth of Mankind and the other a United Nations of Earth Cosmogenesis.
  • All Crises (Great Khan, Grey Tempest, Prethoryn Scourge, Unbidden, Aberrant, Vehement Contingency, The Synthetic Queen)
  • All Leviathans (Infinity Machine, Spectral Wraith, Stellar Devourer, Scavenger Bot, Shard, ect)
Vs

Warhammer40k Galaxy
  • Imperium of Mankind
  • Orkz
  • Tyranids
  • Eldar
  • Dark Elder
  • Tau
  • Necrons
  • Chaos
Scenario 1) None of the factions are unified and both Galaxies are connected to each other physically as in like they're slowly melding together.
Scenario 2) All of the factions are unified but the galaxies are only connected by a single star sized wormhole.

In all scenarios Stellaris can research special projects to resist the taint of Chaos while the other 40k side can do their own research to resist the Worm God's influence .
Sadist. What poor innocent kawaii cultists/demons/nids/cargo cultists etc did to you, that you want to hurt them so much ?

Just wanna see how 40k stalks up. Last Stellaris discussion had people saying Necrons could solo and that Black Fortresses could too.
🤷

Fully awakened Necrons - maybe.Aeldari Empire and Terran Federation - some chances for that.
But all current factions? you just send them to more or less terrible deaths.

Go oooonn, I was told current Necrons would be enough 🧐

Something bullshit in my opinion. But Necrons from War in Heavens - yes, they could do a trick.

Hmm what could they do?

I feel like WIH could probably take out several crises but would get worn down in doing so and would have to go into hiding to replenish their strength before taking on Awakened Empires or an entire Federation.

They destroyed not only planets, but entire systems.Killed and defeated Krorks, and Aeldari and other races created to fight them. They could put good fight.

Hmm but what can they do against a Star Eater? A Star Eater is bigger than every Black Fortress combined and much much faster with much much further firing range.

Problem with any faction who gets star eaters means everyone will be attacking them because of the threat they pose. So if there is more than one Stellaris faction involved they will be fighting them too.

That's true but Nemesis Crisis are one of the strongest if not THE strongest Empire in the setting and can achieve their victory by turtling, with multiple Crisis out there none of the Stellaris side will be able to free enough assets to break through the defenses of a half decent Nemesis Empire.

And that's the scary thing, I don't think there's anything in the Warhammer40k Galaxy that's powerful enough to take out just 2 Star Eaters let alone more.

Star Eaters canonically stay put when the stars detonate so not even the Celestial Ory will be enough to take it out, taking out a Star Eater in the Warhammer40k galaxy will take like some crazy ass plan

Brute force is going to be almost impossible because Star Eaters can destroy the star an entire Armada is at quicker than they can break through the armor. The Nemesis Crisis can just have two Star Eaters doing decapitation strikes while they turtle their borders and the 40k side and other Stellaris Empires have to fight through everyone else to reach them

I always max hyperlanes which means there will be none of that turtling bullshit!
Well let's not forget the other Stellaris factions are middle tier tech so turtling will work pretty well due to the Nemesis outeching.

The other federations will have their hands busy with the Unbidden, Contingency, Scourge and Grey Tempest.

:p

I really miss pre 2.0 Stellaris FTL, Wormhole drives were the absolute best thing in the game.
