-Israel vs. various Arab countries in the various Arab-Israeli Wars
-North Vietnam vs. the US in 1965-1975
-Armenia vs. Azerbaijan in 1992-1994 (Azerbaijan won the rematch in 2020)
-Ukraine vs. Russia (so far, at least)
