ISOT (Secret)Functioning Anarchocapitalist/Libertarian Societies from Fiction end up in our World

How would the world react long term if they were found to exist?

Admittedly I’ve only read Aristillus by Travis J Corcoran for the concept of anarchocapitalist libertarian societies that are sort of cut off from the “mainland” and prefer/want independence or to just be left alone

Alternatively, for something more familiar but different from the canon source, something like this version of Rapture wherein Andrew Ryan wasn’t an asshole and with help of some others turned Rapture into a pretty nice place where people got charity instead of welfare for when they weren’t doing so well

Would these places actually get attacked or annexed or will diplomatic attempts or say attempts by foreign businesses go and try taking them over?

That or you guys make one up

I like the concept of underground cities full of arcologies and odd foods like giant mushrooms whilst also having a surprisingly international/multiethnic population who get along mostly due to said “you leave me alone, I leave you alone, don’t piss me off I don’t piss you off, we deal and treat each other fairly but can’t be forced to deal....understand? UNDERSTAND!?”

We already live on an anarcho-capitalist planet, so nothing changes except whoever has the most guns claims the world and wunderwaffe for their corporation.

So China and California are Anarchocapitalist.....well in a way, much of civilization is what happens when the anarcho equivalents decide centralizing power and control even further and do voting occurs

They even choose to throw away their right to guns and insist on other peoples rights to guns

Reminds me of the Mormons from Aristillus....they wanted to establish a small government and had already formed a neighborhood association and were trying to destroy an immoral casino because there are rights other than free speech, free trade and free ownership

Like the rights to NOT have your kids accidentally exposed to seeing T&A, the right NOT to be near a place that sells alcohol, the right NOT to have the risk of anyone choosing to be gamblers etc

The protagonist of Aristillus sorta shot back how a small government that becomes a big one, “ran by the will of the people(majority)” can go “Hey we the majority hate mormons, if we want to ban you, we can”

And the majority of Aristillus’ people fled from their nations on Earth because the majority of people were stupid & brainwashed and likely to vote in support of their executions for the dumbest things like saying there are only 2 genders

Lol. "Corporations exist" and even "corporations have political power" is not anarcho-capitalism.

As for the OP - on exposure to reality, these ideological utopias quickly find the largest corporations taking up the role of the state. Nothing really changes, except that maybe the UN gets some new members.

So all or most schools are public, roads, libraries and public utilities are based off taxes

Nobody except the top corporations’ employees can have weaponry or specifically guns

No charities replacing tax based welfare?
