Writers Blocked Douchebag
From the man who gave us Conan The Cimmerian, Solomon Kane, El Borak, Kull of Atlantis, Bran Brak Morn, Black Vulmea, Turlough O’Brien, James Allison, Cormac Fitzgeoffrey, Dark Agnes, Steve Harrison and a bunch of other boxing and western stories I haven’t read yet
Comes the world of Westeros in A Song of Ice & Fire!!!
Basically, how would Robert E. Howard rewrite the setting? Guy does a fair amount of worldbuilding and actually read much history and mythology and even occult-works talking about Atlantis and was rather “realistic” for his time
Hell, the Hyborian Age was as magical as that of the Planetos of the series, more steel and muscle involved than lots of guys with magical powers and equipment running around but said magic’s still there
And before you guys make jokes about Ned only wearing underwear, I’d like to point out the “barbarians” of REH’s works actually wear clothes and armor, Dark Agnes of Chastillon who inspired the creation of Red Sonja actually wears men’s clothes for one instead of a chainmail bikini
That said, the idea of Catelyn adapting to life in the North and wearing a chainmail bikini in it’s cold climate makes me laugh
