So despite its cold climate and presence of much snow, the place becomes suddenly full of megafauna and even the smaller animals can be extremely dangerous

The Neck for one has Crannogmen now constantly trying to survive against giant crocodiles

Last Hearth has to deal with migrations of Mammoths that eat lots of the grass for whatever farm animals they once had

The Mountain Clans are afraid of "dragons" now

Ramsay Snow got eaten by an Epicyon Haydeni during his Smallfolk-Hunts

Ned Stark is wondering if this was a horrible punishment down on him from the Gods above

What happens longterm when the North is a primeval deathworld and even its Lords think things like giant flightless birds to be dangerous?

For one, the critters are unlikely to stay North, they are bound to migrate. The Arryns could close the Bloody Gates, but the Riverlands are screwed. So basically GoT as usual...

I guess Tommen would become King and still have to deal with Renly and Stannis and later Balon rebelling and trying to take over

The Crownlands+The Westerlands+The North+The Riverlands will be fighting for King Tommen’s reign

Also, funny if Jaime gets taken along for the hunt because he’s slightly interested in these beasts

Only a few hours afterwards, he’s now a crazy caveman using a spear and somehow has Blackfyre and is riding on a giant cat/ferret-thing

I think,that North would face megafauna problem,so they would be unable to send any army to help Tommen.Not mention,that Ironborn would attack them,too.
