Reading Orders

Question, who here other than me, makes it a sort of priority or principle to watch/read/play things in chronological order?

Prequels, even thousands of years apart first, before the main series and its sequels that are published decades before said prequels creations and thus spoil lots of stuff, and reverse because knowing what occurs in prequels, lessens the mystery or present characters

For the past few years, this has been the order of my getting into a series or franchise, though admittedly for videogames I watch the accumulated cinematics and cutscenes to know(since its not available on my console or mac)

Anybody else do things the same way?

I'll generally go for a mix, chronological if it is already all released like I did with Fairy Tail or I'll go for the currently released version if the older ones don't appeal to me, Legend of the Galactic Heroes for example.

I try to get it in chronological order, I messed it up as a kid and started reading the With Fire And Sword triology at Deluge.
I also played Terror From The Deep before Enemy Unknown
