Q&R general planning, ideas, interest checks and discussion

Progress is being made, I just need to make unit counters for the Elves, and character tokens for the Fellowship, and last the big one, unit counters and character tokens for Mordor and its Easterling and Haradrim allies.

On a side note, I never realized just how truly poorly positioned Rohan was at the start of the War of the Ring, even without wormtongue doing a mind whammy on Theoden, Rohan is just not prepared for an invasion from Isengard.

Still working on everything for my game, tentatively titled Where the Shadows Lie or alternatively The Listless Eye. Crunching through character tokens, all the major players you'd expect, but I'm open to suggestions for minor characters anyone thinks should be included.

For example I've already made Halbarad leader of the Grey Company, and added him as a minor character for the Western Allies. He activates for the Free People's following a special event.

Another example is Cirdan the Shipwright, if the Free People's moves the Fellowship/Ring Bearer into his starting hex they get a nice ship to take them down the coast. This gives the Free People's an incentive to move the Ring Bearer west towards the Grey Haven instead of east towards Rivendell.

Another example is the Orc Commander Sharku (not in the books I know) of Isengard/The Shadow in the East., who has a special ability that allows him to do more damage with Warg Rider units under his command.

If you have a minor character suggestion, feel free to let me know.

The War of the Ring is upon us, the Free People's gather their defenses, and you make your preparations to claim dominion over Arda once and for all.

Anyone interested in playing the Dune ttrpg? Players would take on various roles within a customized noble house within the Imperium in the year 10,170 A.G., or 21 years before House Atreides is granted the fiefdom of Arrakis and Directorship of Spice Harvesting & Processing under CHOAM.

I'm either running it here or maybe on QQ. Players could be members of the noble family, trusted advisers including Mentats, Suk Doctors, a Swordmaster, and so on.

It would be done play by post, and in troupe style, which is where outside of a primary character, there would be a stable of secondary characters that any player could utilize at any time.

Personally I have really been wanting to try out Call of Cthulhu, Also I'd like to play old WoD too.

I can swing Delta Green, and throw in a dash of WoD (because I refuse to keep trying to learn the Storyteller system), only it might be more Chronicles of Darkness than world, because I have some material for that I've been wanting to use.

I'd need a minimum of 4 players who are interested, and group consensus on if I'm doing all the rolls (faster, but more like a quest in some respects), of if players are doing rolls (waaaaay slower, but possibly more player investment).

Also, if its Delta Green, that means character death and/or insanity, or worse, is a very likely possibility.

My issue is that I don't have any experience with either systems because I have never had the chance to play. Most people just wanna do DnD or Pathfinder.

Its actually pretty simple, I'd put up a character creation tutorial in the OOC thread.

How accurate would you say this is?
