Abrams posted one photo last week of her visit, oblivious to how bad the optics looked: an obese adult wandering around maskless while politicians demand children — who are at virtually no risk of COVID — cover their faces.

After tremendous backlash on social media, Abrams deleted the photo and essentially called everyone who criticized her racist. Pointing out a Democrat’s hypocrisy and character flaws is now racist, according to Abrams.

Nah, this is a "What is Aleppo" situation to me. Everyone got onto the guy for it, but really? There's a shitton of towns, cities, and prominent geographic locations in the Middle East. I wouldn't expect most people to know about a specific town unless they were briefed on it specifically.

Yeah I'd agree. If I read that Tweet without context, my first thought was back to all of those World War Two maps... I was literally thinking up an image from like an Eastory or Second World War Youtube video and recalling... wait... Rostov isn't in the Ukraine. And I have no fucking idea where Voronezh is except... that big flat assed part of Southern Russia... somewhere. It's nice that Lavrov decided to troll the UK Minister for nebulously pointless reasons though. I'm sure that was very productive for the press back home.

He did it to troll her. Her knowledge of where Voronezh is has no bearing on anything. You can still have a legitimate opinion on say... the Philippines without knowing the difference between Makati and Marawi. No, you're missing the point here. "Where is Aleppo?" would have been an acceptable question to ask, but not "What is Aleppo?" The latter means that one doesn't even know that Aleppo is an actual place and could think that it's, say, a dish or something else instead.
