Don't know if anyone's been following this debacle. Forrest Bennet proposed legislation in Oklahoma that would make men responsible financially for children they sired, from the moment of conception, as an effort to Own the Republicans.
The Libs were triggered because it used gendered terms like "Woman" instead of birthing people. Meanwhile, the conervatives were highly enthusiastic and declared their intention to vote for the bill to become law.
You really need to click the link and read the entire thread to get the Gist as Forrest posted a whole book of apologies in the form of a lengthy chain of tweets about how mean Twitter was to Liberals like himself and how his proposal could have hurt "The Cause" so he was withdrawing the bill.
Conservatives remain amused.
Oklahoma Legislators are discussing copying the text of the bill and re-introducing it themselves.
