Fallout Perpetual Debate of Bethesda Versus Interplay/Obsidian Fallout World Design

It's not a PM dumbass it's a public YouTube comment section, jeez you're acting just like the other dude.

Mindless hate blinding common sense.

Where was there any mindless hate on my part? Also I mistook that screen shot as a PM so my bad on that front. Also Fallout 3 was never that good of a game but it was a hell of a lot better than Fallout 4.

You calling me a bitch to assume I'd post a private message while completely disregarding the sheer stupidity of the guys statements

Fallout 3 & 4 were great solid 8/10 to at worse 7/10 games.

Fallout 3 is dated but at the time it was released it was really good.

Fallout 4 literally added everything the previous games had and more in return for a subpar story which isn't even that bad 🤷

Fallout 4 is more like a 5/10 as for the story well compare it to the other RPG that released that same year which was the Witcher 3.

Witcher always had a great focus on story telling but let's not act like you can do the same level of customization and crafting as you can in Fallout 4.

It's also still a better story than Outer worlds which released 4 years later

I hate crafting systems in general. The customization was cool in theory but the voiced protagonist made it pointless. If I gotta have a voice protagonist then I want a genuinely good story. The gameplay certainly wasn't anything to write home about either basically the shooting mechanics from 2007 in Call of Duty Modern Warfare at best.

That's not a point against the game to make it bad, crafting is a common aspect in RPG's literally every single one has a crafting mechanic of some sorts

A voice protagonist isn't a bad thing.
Nora alone has 16,000+ voice lines which is more than the entirety of New Vegas combined.

An RPG game is more than just a story, it's for fun and gameplay too. An "Ok" story doesn't make the game any less fun certainly not enough to drop it 5/10 just by itself.

It's a combination of everything that FO4 does that makes it solid, you try interacting in COD the same way you do on FO4. You can't 🤷

People seem to judge FO4 on literally one specific thing then ignore all the other things it does right

Being able to pick up random garbage isn't some great feature.

EDIT: Also those 16 thousand voice lines are mostly crap being repeated in slightly different tones.

It kinda is when you're talking about depth and detail, how many non Bethesda games give you the ability to do that?
Let's not act like there aren't literal hundreds of videos of people judging videos games simply based on the mundane ability to see water physics in action and other minor things.

That's objectively false, the vast majority of the lines are very clearly different from one another and it's pretty disingenuous for you to say that 🙄

You really ought to try playing some games that are actually good sometime.

I think the same.

What arguments can be made that 2 os better?
Story? Both have eh stories.

You unironically think Fallout 4 is better than Fallout 2. You have plebeian taste and continuing this discussion further is pointless.
But Fallout 4 is objectively better and this can be proven.

More detail
Faster gameplay
More interesting puzzles
Better weapons/armor/graphics/music

Honestly even FO2 having a bigger map size is countered by the fact it's empty as fuck or only has a handful of rooms that are identical clones 😂

Eh figures, some people can't give an objective analysis because they'd make themselves look like fools arguing this
