The Name of Love
Far Right Nutjob
I have been thinking about creating a shared universe in which writers of similar philosophical persuasions (or perhaps varied ones) can come together and write short stories centered around this setting. So far, the two ideas I have are as follows.
The first idea I have is inspired by the original Twilight Zone. Each short story will present a philosophical puzzle or some moral commentary in a way that is both relevant to our times while avoiding petty partisan politics.
The second idea I have revolves around the idea of the pulp genre - the Raygun Gothics, the Two-Fisted Tales, the Planetary Romances, and the Sword & Sorcery tales. The works of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Poul Williams Andersen, and their contemporaries are what I want to emulate with these short stories.
Any thoughts or suggestions? What do you think of my ideas? Do they spark your imagination? And do you have ideas of your own for your own projects?
