Switch Outsold Next-Gen Consoles in November 2020 in US, Best Seller for 24 Consecutive Months

The Nintendo Switch was the top-selling console in the US for November 2020 for the 24th consecutive month, beating out the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

It's even outsold the next gen console releases of the PS5 and the XBoneX or whatever it's called. Though I guess that isn't particularly surprising when you look into it considering what an odd release it has been with the many production bottlenecks and other things that have been going on with those next gen releases.

Furthermore three analysts (as cited in the article) actually believe that the Nintendo Switch will also be the best selling console in 2021 which I did actually find somewhat surprising. I would've assumed after a few months Microsoft and Sony would've un-assed themselves and actually be able to throw out the consoles to the scads of people that want them.

Still it's always amusing to see how Nintendo manages to chug along with what's really a more 'creative' and unconventional approach to mainstream console gaming when compared to the far more technical juggernauts that the XBox and Playstation have been. Feel like it's the same thing they did with the Wii (though not the WiiU) in just being more clever with the features and design and other innovations and marketing it out correctly.
 
Japan pretty much is guaranteed Nintendomination, what with the way Sony's been acting towards the Japanese, it looks like they've just given up on the Land of the Rising Sun. This is what, the third time Nintendo's won something by default? (The 80s in the US, Sega exiting the console market), fourth if you count handheld domination.

Never thought I'd see the day when you'd flock to the Switch for uncensored games, and yet here we are. I'm not even talking about hardcore stuff. On Playstation you can't even have have a teacher spanking an anime girl (nothing explicit shown) without it being censored. And yet Western devs release hardcore stuff on Playstation like TLOU2 all of the time and aren't slapped on the wrist at all.

The PS5 is doing horribly in Japan at the moment. The install base is very small and I don't think game developers will choose the PS5 over the Switch's install base, especially not with Sony requiring Japanese developers to submit their game applications in English, which several Japanese devs cannot do. Sony also hamstringing Japanese dev's ability to distribute their games internationally doesn't help either.

It's the expected course of things when SJWs scum get even an inch of influence in any organization. The rank hypocrisy could be smelled for miles. Nintendo may be letting the third parties alone right now, but I haven't forgotten NOA is crawling with self-righteous social justice wankers. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Jesus... I see the headlines about Sony dropping the ball in Japan but I usually assume it's played up nonsense by partisan games journalists because... they're games journalists. But that is some serious shit going on apparently. Sony just has excellent leadership worldwide and across all of their divisions it seems. :p

Unfortunate. When it comes to consoles, Playstation is by far my console of choice. I mean I guess I'm thankful that it seems focused on Japan, but if Sony is fumbling over themselves in their home territory and not learning from it, that could have knock on effects with Sony Playstation stuff going on in America.

Well it's important to note that Nintendo and Nintendo of America are probably pretty different in various things. NOA would likely happily sniff the butts of social justice wankery if it gives them good press and lots of buzz while I'm sure in Japan, they're largely indifferent to the nonsense going on in America in regards to race relations.

Some people thought that of Sony too, yet look at where they are now.
