EU Muslim beheads teacher for showing Mohammed cartoons in class.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
At that age? She didn't know the consequences of what she did. I can't hold her guilty.
There are fuckups but there are fuckups I instinctively stay away from sheer distance like joining terrorist groups who do online beheadings at that age.

Whatever happens she will live with the knowledge her lies fooled people to kill for her sake.

Then who answers for the crimes if not the instigator?
The person who killed them? The dad who got the islamists involved? There is an age where someone is basically too young to know that what they are doing could result in serious consequences, and she was well below that, especially for something as indirect as this, where the consequences are obvious to people who know how the world works, but probably not to a child.

Oh, this is definitely a fuckup, but she shouldn't be held responsible except by herself.

That's for the public to decide if they do find out who she is.

It's not the responsibility but the stigma even if both apply on how one feels on it.

13 year olds are freshmen in highschool...
So they are immune to consequences? Youth can do whatever they want, say whatever they want and nothing should be done to them? No she started a chain of events that ended with people dead. At no point before it got really serious and someone was killed did she recant.

Obviously she’s not guilty of murder or anything like that, but how exactly do you prevent this from happening again if the person responsible for starting it is not punished? This was by far one of the worst fake hate crimes or the like, but there have been at least a half dozen and none have held the person responsible for the hoax to account.

Children lack the mens rea for this to be a crime. They really can't conceive of the consequences of this, so can't be guilty.

No I'm saying she is old enough to know and suffer from consequences

The important detail here is that even if the story was true, well, the cartoons in question are considered perfectly legal in France (as opposed to, say, Pakistan), which is why Macron defended them publicly. What her lie did was merely reignite the cultural clash of taboos and rights in the public sphere. After all, islamists have killed or attempted to kill people over these cartoons many times before. For them, these are blasphemy, which for them is an extremely serious crime, no matter when, and no matter what the law of the land says. Some of these fanatics would even accept a certainty of slow and painful death as the price of taking revenge for this, and legal systems of Europe aren't willing to go even that far.

The only solutions to this are to either have all the islamists in the country under constant intense, intelligence level surveillance (say bye to some privacy laws and it better not be many, because it costs a shitload of money in rather skilled personnel and specialist equipment), or let islamists of the world be angry from very far away, outside of the borders, never to be allowed in.

If she still has the guts to still go to the same school she's not going to graduate unscathed especially if there's students who liked that teacher.

13 year olds can and have been charged with serious crimes before. I reject the idea that someone suddenly becomes culpable once they pass a certain age and not based on the action taken. Children under twelve have committed premeditated murder. Age is certainly a factor in deciding punishment and degrees of guilt, but it is not a magic number to escape responsibility.

And this sorta crime, a lie that you don't realize the consequences of, is a classic example of something I'd expect and excuse out of a 13 year old.

There are many people at fault for this the girl for lying the killer for killing, and liberal culture. Multiculturalism can not exist with individual rights. There have been multicultural societies in history ancient Persia, Moorish Spain, the Ottomans, the mongols. But the thing is they did not give individual rights they gave collective rights so Jews had a right to use their own law when it involved just Jews same for Christians. If you want multiculturalism you have to do something like that or what Singapore has where you prevent certain speech that is likely to cause a race riot between groups. That would mean you have to prevent people from insulting Islam. If you don’t have a law like that and allow Muslims that take their religion seriously then you will face problems. But our “elites” are either idiots or traitors so they don’t think about that.

If the girl was Muslim then no it’s not an innocent prank it is a actually malicious. A devout Muslim child is taught that those who reject god and his prophets deserve death they think those types of people are the worst of the worst. It’s like if a western kid lied that someone was a pedophile. At 13 you know you are at least ruining someone’s life and at worst killing them because someone will do something if they believe it. It’s not the equivalent of stealing cookies or lying about your homework, it’s much more serious.
