Post materials debunking common (or not-so-common) misconceptions about Middle Ages.



Above video: medieval armor was not that heavy. Medieval life was hard, yes, but wasn't 100% depression all the time.
 
It also depended on the type of armor. Parade and tournament armor was fair bit heavier than combat armor, and I believe that may be where the myth of heavy armor began.
Siege armours,too/used by defenders/
About late tournament armours - they could be almost 2cm thick in breastplate.
