7 others minus him and his daughter? Hm, it was five dead last I heard, some died in hospital then?

From what I heard, and based on what I've seen/heard in regards to other chopper crashes, my guess is that the others were under/entangled in the wreckage.

The initial number of dead likely reflected those they could immediately confirm.
