Writers Blocked Douchebag

I just finished this game yesterday on my newly bought Nintendo Switch

It was fucking amazing, though my fingers hurt from me using the switch and bending them a bit for prolonged periods

Game is set in a Cyberpunk Dystopia, in some City-State called New Mecca

The MC is a Samurai with a sort of time traveling ability based on saves and dying, not just a game function, its gets sorta meta here

You die in one hit but pretty much everyone else except for guys with swords and shields who block, die in one hit as well.

I swear from an outside observer with the end tapes from each sub-level end, you will mostly look a super efficient brutal and fast killer

There’s still no DLC atm

Wait, there's replay function where you get to watch what the level would look like uninterrupted?

Basically, the moment you actually finish one part of the level, it goes “Yes, that should work”

And shows the version where you get through without getting hit/killed

Hmm, to be honest, I was hoping for a mega-cut where all parts are shown together if you desired so. The color-filter is annoying too. Eh, I have been intending to buy the game for a while now anyway, so it's not that bad.

Its okay, I think the color filter is supposed to be as if some camera is watching the brutal yet fast and mostly efficient slaughter

Say, I presume you’ve bought it, but just got to ask

You think the MC unlike many who are called insane or even blood knights for being extremely heroic in the face of death and the death of others, actually deserves both callings?

Even being called a sociopath sorta fits

At the very least he seems to enjoy, or rather need, to kill people. That's not the sign of a healthy mind. Him being a psycho- or sociopath is not quite fitting because he does seem to bond with various people over the course of the story. The little girl as well as the ex-soldiers at the bar come to mind.

This New Mecca-CroMag War in the game’s backstory looks to be based off the Vietnam War.....he’s still over there

It means that he’s essentially still at Cromag, mentally at least, even if he says its the drug instead of PTSD

I’m pretty aure he’s still got it, was probably at some point even a crazy homeless guy himself
Ah, I get it.

Hmm, unlikely, because like every Null he has to take Chronos in regular intervalls, otherwise he ends up trapped in his mind. I'm not sure what happened after the war ended. The Nulls were supposed to be terminated, yet there're survivors who somehow managed to scrounge up enough Chronos to keep themselves going. Dragon, Headhunter, Zero, maybe there're more like them? Hell, for all we know, Tragedy and Comedy could be Chronos users too.
