This is actually based on a thread I had on SB, but discussion on it was virtually non existent So I figured I'd place it here.
Set up: while going on a salvage run, Piper and Nate notice something floating in the water. As they get closer they realize it's a dead body. At first they think nothing of it..... Until piper's face goes pale. Her lip starts to quiver as she starts to hyperventilate. She can't believe what she's seeing this has to be a nightmare. Around the body's neck is a dog tag that reads "Piper J Wright."
I always thought it would have been an interesting twist had it turned out that in a shocking twist, mayor mcdonough was not a Synth... Piper was. Now for this scenario I'm assuming 3 Things.
1. there was a real piper wright and synth piper is an exact copy. Not even Nat notices the switch.
2.,as far as piper knows, she is piper Wright. The institute took her brain and used it as a base. She was a cousier at one point but something happened to cause her memories of her time under the institute to become corrupted while the piper memories remain at the forefront. Essentially she's like nick. One moment she's getting a lead on a story she got ambushed then found herself waking up in the middle of the wasteland.
3.,the mayor is NOT a Synth.
How does this affect the story. How would everybody react to the situation? What do you think would be going through Piper's mind?
Mainly what I'm asking is how would your charecter react with this shocking discover since I know everyone's view on synths is at least slightly different both from a IRL perspective and a RPing perspective.
