How can conservatives effect change?

and your response was "the Hedonists will stab you in the back the second any hard work is involved." so clearly you were reffering to some kind of person, and my question is how do you define a hedonist?
I'm referring to the kind of person he's referring to because he made the distinction. Also no that wasnt your question your question was more like "What are your credentials to say things you never said!??!!?! How could you say such a thing!?!?! You're going to kill me arent you!!! Admit it!!!"

Fair enough. I jumped the gun. I apologize.

@CarlManvers2019 what were you referring to when you said hedonist.

People who just enjoy things like video games, music, anime/manga, cartoons, comics and so on but also have a degree of taste and don't really like the douchebags taking over and taking a piss on them or seeing quality go down whilst lecturing them for liking said stuff

Not the more extreme crazy douchebag who loves alcohol, drugs, sex and actual depravities that involve or could endanger and hurt actual people

wouldin't that qualify the majority of people and not just hedonist ?

People who mind their own business grill and play video games while their neighbors houses burn.

I want to add to this guy's post by telling a little story. When I was in Junior high, the government in my country was overthrown by the military. My father was the head of the Federal police and his younger brother was the chief of police in it's capital city, so the dinner table was filled with talk of how this was going to look and what was going to happen. I won't say where I'm from but the President was deemed to be, not doing enough to stem the tide of radical leftwing violence. I asked my father if the family should go out to our ranch out in the country side and hide out and he only laughed at me and told me to pay more attention to the conversation. He wasn't worried, but they were actively talking about how the military was going to execute the coup and what their roles in it would be and what would happen going forward as a result. This was happening at the damn dinner table and as a kid, it was surreal the first day and then boring and bullshit the next few days. The night before the coup began I went on my first date and we saw a movie, It was Star Wars if I'm remembering right and it was poorly dubbed. I spent the night with her and some friends by a beach, we all knew what was coming in the morning but we didn't register it. We were too young and too disengaged. The next morning, the city was locked down, entry ways to the City locked down, we got grabbed in the morning by members of the Federal Police and they told us they'd drive us home. My best friend's father was a lawyer who was a marxist, they didn't grab him or threaten him. They didn't mistreat him, in fact they told him what was happening but assured him that his father was safe and no one was going to harm him because despite his beliefs everyone knew he was a good man and nonviolent. That was the scariest moment for us, that he had to be told his papa was okay. But it was reassuring and we went home and curfews aside, everything was normal. Then the terrorism started, it got bad and it was met with what I feel was an appropriate response. My school was blown up by a leftwing militia, my girlfriend bled to death in the gym I'm told. I wasn't there that day because I was recovering from an appendectomy. People who had "just wanted to grill" began to realize that "just wanted to be left alone" contributed to this and in their shame and rage they began to turn on each other. Houses were burned down, people were tortured to death by civilian militias, people I played pool with and had known since gradeschool started talking about murdering each other with me caught between wondering why. The military cracked down on the angry grillbros, but at first the crackdowns were moderate. After all, they weren't the communists, they didn't start this civil war, they're just angry. By 1982, people in their attempts to "get their normalcy" back, had killed some eleven thousand people. Well more than the amount of casualties from the conflict proper.

When I was 17, I was called to compulsory service and spent two years in a military unit that was stationed in the rural areas of the country. I was in a beautiful area and our jurisdiction was over a half dozen small towns with nothing but wondrous country in between. I was accustomed to the escalating horrors of the city, but coming out there all I saw was both sides of the argument getting along, working together. There were brawls over politics, fights, old grudges of course but it wasn't anywhere near as venomous or hateful. What I noticed was that even the left leaning people out there were disgusted with the urban violence and the urban radicalism and the urban hedonism and apathy that caused all of this. When the contention ended and democracy was gradually restored, despite the widespread allegations of human rights abuses by foreign press. Only five human rights trials were ever conducted. By that point, I was in my father's footsteps and our group was in charge of protection the Judges and the witnesses not the perpetrators. Amusingly enough, even former communist subversives wanted to string up their ex-comrades whether in a misplaced fit of rage and guilt or just because they saw the error of their ways I can't say. I believe one of the groups of colonels and soldiers convicted deserved to be imprisoned. They dismembered and tortured people and were depraved. The other group, I've mixed feelings on, as several of my former friends were tortured by them. I'm of the mind that they deserved to be tortured and worst though, because they were detained for raping and killing the twin grandsons of a General. Their idea of revenge against the evil fascists was to apparently sodomize and disembowel a pair of toddlers. I still look back to all the Christmases we shared, all the times they spent whole summers with my family, all the fond memories and wonder how my friends could have become so depraved. It haunts me, I lose sleep over it and its been almost a generation since their convictions. I fought leftist guerrillas in the country, rural boys who were frighteningly tough but very honorable. We donated blood at the same hospital and we would make jokes about how we'd be doing this as an excuse to avoid getting our asses kicked. We were enemies, but we respected each other and it was understood you kept the violence away from the towns. I suppose it helped that everyone was armed out there, so if the normies decided to they could put us both out of our misery but yeah. The difference between the city and the country baffled me and I've spoken to people from other countries in similar situations they usually had the same conclusion even if we ascribed savagery to different sides.

My personal take away was this: Urbanites are responsible for social decay, the Cosmopolitcan culture of the bugmen is paradoxically both integral to a nations growth and a peoples health and its greatest enemy and the terminal disease that afflicts it. @Hastur of Carcosa @ShieldWife The issue with "just wanting to be left alone" is that it allows the bugmen to destabilize everything. They are a breed that must always be watched, always "shamed" and always minimized in their power. If you truly wish to be left alone, perhaps Americans should extend the electoral college down to the municipal level. So that even Senators, Governors and Mayors are picked by electors. Perhaps that would curtail the power of the Bugman and keep these depraved, disease ridden bastions of Cultural Marxism from dictating the course of the United States. Something like six hives of these reprobate rat people determine the fate of your entire nation? That's preposterous.

My experience is that civil wars start by the apathy of the grillers and the complete depravity of the Bugmen. Americans can't just grill anymore and to answer Hasturs question..What happens to fence sitters? Well you guys get blamed for everything for refusing to act and turned on. It's unfair, but it is what it is and it's almost always the end result. I saw it happen and it was alien and tragic. But it happened and to a certain degree I understand it, I do ascribe blame to a degree. I think @ShieldWife variant of isolation is a good one but it only works so long as you can realistically cloister yourself and your children. It seems to me, many believe the US is long passed that point. When that happens, there is no stopping the "Everyone who didn't immediately start a civil war well before things got bad are all magically traitors"mindset.

first of all I'm sorry for your loss. I guess my point of view is this. The point of civilization is to evolve beyond being beast. If the point of existence is simply killed or be killed then frankly we might as well live in the grass walk on all fours and devour the flesh of our enemies and that includes everybody not just those who happened to be born into the right bloodlines. It's not so much that "I just want to gril" so much as it is I frankly don't trust anybody to lead a revolution and anything good come out of it for every American revolutions there are dozens of french revolution heck I think part of the reason we did as well as we have is because of access to resources, having the right leaders at the right time, and let's be frank Winner's bias. frankly I belive in the right to fight. Punch a nazi or try to hang the heathen if you wish, but don't be suprised when the person you hate shoots back and manages to tag you.

I guess at the end of the day I'm sick of the noise. I'm sick of people crying about being the victim when they would victumize if given the chance. I'm tired of people like Lord inviticus crying about oppression when what they are really mad about is not being of the ruling class. At this point I just wish people would either take their death quietly, laughing or better yet just back off all together.

I do fear dying because I know I'm no model citizen. I don't look ideal, I'm not the best producer, and both my condition and my religion prevent me from participating in the military. so it seems logical to me at least that if one were in the need for a sacrofice to fuel a narrtive. People like me would be the perfect choice. Afterall no one of political or narrtive importance would miss me. And I get it everyone is afraid and everyone has the right to fight, but just like everyone has the right to fight. Everyone else has the right to fight back. and frankly If it turns out I do die at somebodies hands, I'd rather die saying HA HA HA rather than saying "But I was good." I'm not going to go down begging for my life regardless of which side attacks me.

As it is, I still think the best option is to do what the left did subvert and outcompete.

Hardest part about that is that the Left's the one with the most money, connections and also Brand Recognition

Even without possible attempts to blacklist non-Far Left types, it will take a long while.

Course, even without the same cash, I think plenty of people can make on a cheaper budget stuff that'd prove Hollywood's overrated expensive bullshit that also has bad scripts regardless of months to years worth of possible input as one example

And even making your own Universities with more choice or being allowed to just choose specific subjects and not have to deal with extras, may not sound appealing regardless of being cheaper because of the sheer prestige going to the Established Universities brings and people still romanticise said "full education" or expensive extras

I think ultimently the central problem is that the world has become too small and governments too big. Ideally we would go into space and we would just split up more and more as time went on going back to some thing akin to the era of city states were people live under the goverments they choose, and leave if things dont suit them.

Unfortantly we are um kind of fucked, the tech and industry is not there.

The question of what happens to people who cant fit into a traditionalist society? They get socially ostrosized, speaking as a jew its not the end of the world you find people like you and you make your own tribe and you endure.

The time for Government as a Service has come. With increasing automation and work-from-home type of jobs providing more and more of the value in finished products, choice of residence will increasingly be based upon the type of government and the communities that it builds. You can see the beginnings of that today, with tech workers fleeing from SF to Miami and Texas. As the Federal Govt. becomes more and more incompetent local governance, will become increasingly more relevant. There are some bright spots in our radlib dominated future of America.

What about manual labor or jobs that need people to actually be working directly with tools or machinery?

Also, as I've said before, there's a chance that less and less people will be spending huge amounts of time and money on schools and universities themselves and may for the latter choose to get it all done quick by only choosing to do what's related to their courses so they can get their jobs

Though as others have said before, certificates are a way for company bureacracies to narrow down who they hire faster regardless of actual skill level

Marx had it right when he said that the revolution isn't going to come from the dirt poor proletariat, whose mind has been degraded by all the hours they are forced to work in their jobs, just to get by.

Somehow I don't think it'll come from the guys with actual skills and knowledge though
