What exactly... do you put in a thread like this? Despite being confined to one species, I am pondering what content exactly one would post to celebrate 'Humanity Fuck Yeah.'

The Boot is going to move this thread to Science Fiction & Fantasy Discussions as that appears to be a better home for it. The Boot thinks using it for HFY story recommendations is a good use of it.

And like any bad kitty, she gets the squirt bottle. In fact, her whole species is bad kitties, so I say we should build a massive squirt bottle that we can deploy against their inhabited planets...

I believe that @Harlock made a Nova-shaped squirt bottle captained by a crazy Maori man. She was named "Lady Nemesis".

I have been watching dubs and subs of "Doctor Stone" the past couple days. This stuff is pure HFY and has me in tears from the sheer levels of determination, badassery, adaptability, teamwork and many brotherhood moments.
Thank you for Informing me I only watched the first episode but its great.

A nice HFY story from the viewpoint of the aliens

“This is going to be a messy one,” Kithiin noted, running her fingers through her quills as the Ithaxi looked at the cold, grey derelict. Her wide black eyes stared at it, an unconscious shiver running down her spine, making her entire back ripple, from her torso down to the tip of her truncated tail.

“How do you know?” that was Tenla, the rookie. He blinked, looking over the scanner reports. “It’s running on standby. There’s no obvious damage to the hull, no sign of weapons fire...”

“That’s why it’s going to be messy, wet-nose,” Grinkaur rumbled, the Athellan veteran and Cardosa’s master slouched in his command chair like a pile of rubble someone had tossed a filthy spacesuit over. “He’s moving slow, headed straight for the in-system mining rigs. That’s an automatic response – pick up transmissions and orient yourself towards the nearest non-hostile chatter. He ain’t crewed and he’s too big to be a drone. Came out of hyper, nobody’s on his tail, so he wasn’t running. Add all that up and what do you think we’ve got?”

Tenla turned a pale yellow. “Oh,” the Drendrit said, blinking rapidly. “That’s a...”

“Yeah,” Grinkaur grunted. “‘Oh’. Messy.”

“Maybe they didn’t wake up?” Tenla said. “It could be a cryo failure. The crew’s still asleep.”

Grinkaur and Kithiin shared a glance. “Yeah,” the older captain said. “That might be it.” In fairness, it was possible. Unfortunately, the salvage team’s luck wasn’t that good. It was never that good.

There was an old friend of mine named "Electric Joe" on the warships1 boards back in the day (late 90s, early 2000s) who wrote this amazing sci-fi story about a harsh human Empire which had formed in response to Alien attacks. Cool professionals who protected their people ruthlessly, when aliens broke the laws of war or attacked civilians, they would be virtually wiped out except for a small group which would be taken deep into human space and confined on space stations and bred so that the alien children could be raised as close to human values as possible, to avoid committing genocide. Aliens regarded "The Terran Empire" as this mysterious, horrifying, overwhelming thing that traded with no-one and exchanged no information with anyone except for warnings and demarches, and was completely incomprehensible. A few of the HPCA crew may remember it. I don't know if a copy still exists.
