"The history of the world is but the biography of great men"
This is a quest, of sorts. The idea of this exercise is to map out a potential future history. Players will write up a short description of a "hero of the age", the next roughly 25 years of history. The description should be at least a paragraph, but less than a full page, about 500 words. For example, writing up Donald Trump for the 2000-2025 write up, I could write:
Once enough heroes of the age have been posted, I will bring them together and test them against each other and the tides of history through reason, modeling, and random chance (die roll), and then write up the history of the those next 25 years.
Once the state of the world has been layed out, the players will then describe the next crop of heroes who arise to deal with the new developments of the world.
Here Hero is used quite broadly as those with the ability to impact history. Options for the first age (2000 to 2025) would be Bush, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, some unknown youtuber trying to push some idea. The range is quite extensive, and a pebble may have great impacts down the line. The great ambition after all is to map out a 1,000 years of history (in 25 year chunks). Assuming this experiment works well and interest lasts that long.

Europe United: The European Parliament has been completed, the Euro is being rolled out without a hitch, and the Eastern nations of Europe are catching up and integrating into the unified European way of doing things. The dream of the United States of Europe stands closer than ever before, and with it the promise of a Free, Peaceful, Prosperous, Assertive and united Europe, soon ready to move out of the shadow of the dead USSR and the living America to show a Europe standing on its own two feet.
China Rising: having thrown off the worst excesses of Maoism, China increasingly embraces liberalism and capitalism, with its economy showing the benefits, with China now promising to be able to move beyond its poor underdevelopment into a developed, prosperous nation, and furthermore one on the side of the Liberal world Order, soon to join such organizations as the World Trade Organization and generally join the community of nations as another member.

A successful businessman who has gained great fame and notoriety throughout the United States, he has grown concerned over the power, independence, and Americanness of America. He will try to seize political power directly as an outsider and from that position build up American Military power, Industrial Power, and limiting Immigration to protect American Culture.

Tides Of History
American Supreme: America stands victorious over the USSR as the sole remaining super power, stronger than ever after decades of economic growth and successful military campaigns. It is the end of history, and the new Liberal World Order stands alone at it, America leading the way.
