Herman Cain passed away at the Age of 74 due to complications from the Chinese Covid-19 Virus.
He was noted as a very successful fast food industry and corporate leader, working for Burger King and working his way up to managing 400 Burger King locations centered around the Philadelphia area before becoming the CEO of Godfathers Pizza and saving the beleaguered pizza buffet focused franchise from going under and after serious cuts and reforms, brought it back to profitability.
Later Herman Cain became a lobbyist for the restaurant industry and then perhaps most famously in 2012 ran for President in the Republican Primary. One of his famous policies was he would limit the size of new bills (to under three pages reputedly) as well as his new tax plan, the 9-9-9 Plan which would implement 9% Federal Sales Tax, 9% Personal Income Tax and a 9% Business Transaction Tax coupled with poverty grants. For a brief moment, Herman Cain even became the frontrunner in the Primary before his campaign lost steam.
Perhaps unsurprisingly his eccentric corporate outsider campaign also garnered the most news media attention during that election cycle of all the Republican Primary Candidates, including the actual Party nominee.
A Trump supporter, there were rumors he would be appointed to the Fed last year which briefly brought him back into the political spotlight but nothing ever came of it.
Ultimately though he did not become President, on forums like this... there is always that possibility of exploring
