    MACUSA founded
    In 1693 after the International Statute of Secrecy was passed, American witches and wizards set up their own government known as the Magical Congress of the United States. This underground government totally separate from the No-Maj included representatives from magical groups all over North America, and was set up in.

    MACUSA relocates to Baltimore
    During the 1770s, the Magical Congress of the United States relocated from Williamsburg, Virginia, to the city of Baltimore, Maryland, home of MACUSA President Able Fleming (Pm:MACUSA). This was a short-lived location due to the arrival of the No-Maj Continental Congress to the city.

    Around 1776 when the Continental Congress moved to Baltimore during the Revolutionary War, the secret Magical Congress of the United States (MACUSA) decided it was time to move again, so they relocated to Washington.     President McGillicuddy presides over the “Country or Kind?” debate of 1777, when witches and wizards from all over North America decided whether or not to become involved in the American Revolutionary War. The Ministry of Magic in London sent a message saying “Sitting this one out.” President McGillicuddy responded.

    Bartholomew Barebone exposes the American Wizarding World

    Rappaport is the fifteenth president of MACUSA. In 1790, she puts in place the complete segregation of the magical and non-magical communities in the U.S. All contact is forbidden in what becomes known as Rappaport’s Law.

    After putting the entire magical community in danger by spilling its secrets to a descendent of scourers, the daughter of Aristotle Twelvetrees is imprisoned for one year. Many in the magical community wish to see Dorcus killed or locked away for the rest of her life for her foolishness.

    Put in place in 1790 by MACUSA President Emily Rappaport in order to completely sever ties between the Wizarding and No-Maj communities in America.     Picquery issues a Protective Order on Thunderbirds
    President Picquery issues this order after her encounter with Frank, the Thunderbird that Newt Scamander was transporting in his magical case. She later extends this protective order to all magical creatures in the United States.

    1933-1941

    A desperate cry for help from Jewish witches and wizards catches attention of MACUSA and its president Cody Montgomery. After sending some Auras to investigate Germany they discover Adolf Hitler's Endgame and discover his regime is being influenced by a strange shadowy organization that has many Dark Wizards in it's ranks. Though MACUSA does not official declare it's involvement the Second Great War, It willingly turns a blind eye to any witch or Wizard choosing to aid the No-Maj British government in the war effort. Rappaport's Law is temporally suspended so that Aurors can aid in saving both muggle and magical victims of the holocaust. All together over 3,000,000 people are saved from this action.

    1941

    The American No-Maj government official enters The Second Great War. President Montgomery declares MACUSA involvment in the war effort. Unlike it's No-Maj counterpart, MACUSA distances itself from Russia as sources provide evidence that the Shadowy cult that helped Hitler's rise to power may be trying to catalyze fascist and communist revolutions around the world. Firearms soon become introduced to American Auras.

    1946

    Both the muggle world and the wizarding world are left shaken as the first weaponized nuclear bombs are dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The devastation creates a hot debate regarding No-Maj/wizard relations and what might happen in a theoretical war. President Montgomery steps down after his 3rd term. and is succeeded by popular wizard war hero Michael Daily. magically enchanted Firearms become a standard armament for American Aurors.

    1946

    for the first time since Rappaport's Law was enacted, President Daily secretly meets with American muggle president Harry S. Truman and Joseph McCarthy. After revealing the information what MACUSA had learned about Dark Wizard influence behind the Russian revolution the leader of this unknown cult seems to be a French Witch named Selene LeBlanc. Also according to magical intelligence. Selene has declared that the Russian revolution was "only a small taste of what's to come." The three agree to do whatever they can to stop the spread of communism but will not risk open conflict for fear of exposing wizard kind. This new "Cold War" begins. While Rappaport's Law is still on the books for the next nineteen years, muggle and wizard segregation is never enforced and meetings between magical and no-maj government officials become more and more open.

    1965

    Rappaport's Law is repealed. Before that, Wizards could not mingle with No-Maj, whether as friends or married couples. Magical children could not have a wand before attending Ilvermorny School, and they were not allowed to take their wands home during breaks.

    1966

    The American wizarding world discovers a growing fascination with No-Maj music, pop culture and technology. Though met with resistance by traditionalist, the pros soon seem to outweigh the cons in the eyes of most with the introduction of things like the medical syringe needle and the Pen. activities of no-maj origin such as Baseball and hot rodding become favorite pass times in the American wizarding world. Despite potentially massive violations of The International Statue of Secrecy within America's wizarding world, rebuke or even response from International Confederation of Wizards is non-existent.

    1968

    Protest erupt as a young vampire girl is brutally assaulted by a mob and burned at the stake. The event causes a widespread protest with groups advocating equal rights be given to all sentient beings as opposed to just wizards and no-maj.

    1970

    due to existing social unrest, MACUSA quickly shuts down any motions to aid their no-maj counterpart in the Vietnam war.

    1976

    President Jack Sage is caught having an affair with a soviet dark witch spy. He resigns from office before he has the chance to be impeached and his vice president, Clnt Matthews finishes out the remainder of the term.


    1981

    Texas Apple farmer and Sentience Rights activist Lauren Applejack becomes the next president of MACUSA after a landslide victory in her Presidential race against Clnt Matthews. She reinvigorates the effort to stop communism and becomes close friends with No-Maj America's President Ronald Regan and muggle prime minister of Britian Margaret Thatcher


    1984

    With the discovery of a new potion called Wolfsbane in Great Britian, MACUSA combines it with its own knowledge of syringe needles, and as a result discovers a quick and easy method for werewolves to be integrated into normal society, with this discovery President Apple Jack and MACUSA waste no time in passing the Equal rights for sentient creatures' amendment.

    1984

    President Applejack is elected for a 2nd term in another landslide victory. certain Japanese no-maj cultural pastimes such as Manga and Anime become popular among American magical youth. American citizens of MACUSA start to get involved in no-maj sports such as Baseball, Boxing and professional wrestling. Despite a clear violation of The International Statue of Secrecy, the Confederation of Wizards gives no response.

    1986

    The American quidditch team wins the world cup under their seeker and captain Maximus Brankovitch III

    1988

    President Applejack is elected for a 3rd term. For the first time in over sixty years, serious research is underway to understand voodoo.

    1990

    Selene LeBlanc is discovered in Berlin and a strike force led personally by President Applejack goes to capture her. After a brutal duel between Applejack and Leblanc, Leblanc is captured. She is quickly found guilty of crimes against both magical and non-magical beings and is sentenced to death. Though her last words indicate that she was not the leader but rather "a single head."


    1991

    Without the influence of LeBlanc the Soviet Union quickly collapses. Remaining communist sympathies are quickly stamped out in the American Wizard World. The cold war is declared over.

    1992

    cheered by the people as "The Woman who won the Cold War" President Applejack is elected for a 4th term in a landslide election

    1996:

    President Applejack's eyes turn to Great Britian as word comes out that Voldemort and his death eaters have returned. Not trusting the new Minister of Magic, she writes a letter to Dumbledore making MACUSA's intentions to help aid in this fight against Voldemort and his death eaters known.
