So we live in a world where we're constantly told that we need to be healthy at all costs, and nothing else is acceptable--the humourless caste we all collectively oppose would say we are automatons to be optimized with prescription drugs and therapy sessions and workout prescriptions and fake meat and chemically impregnated premade Weight Watchers diet meals and are careful reduction of our salt intake down to 1,500 mg a day or whatever they've lowered it to this time.

Of course, most of that miserable crew have certainly never been to a party like this:

...And definitely never sung a flirty duet, either.

So there's no harm to the soul in drink or smoke in moderation, and in this world that's important than optimizing ourselves against risk as if we were all actuarial computers.

I, for my part, have discovered the absolutely excellent Cleveland Underground Rye Whiskey, finished with black cherry wood. Made in Cleveland, Ohio, they celebrate the city's industrial heritage by using high pressure stills made from the steel produced in the city. A bit heretical, but the flavour and aroma is excellent.

What have you all taken to in these admittedly stressful circumstances? Any recommendations?
