The Americas Gender reveal party leads to shootout in Justin Trudeau's post-national paradise

What, you thought something like this would happen in American first? No, it turns out that Canada Can!

An illegal gender-reveal party in South Etobicoke early yesterday morning ended in a bloody gunfight where over 80 shots were fired by various assailants, according to CP24.
The incident occurred around 4:30 am yesterday, at a rented location on 8th street near Lakeshore Boulevard West in the New Toronto area of Etobicoke. According to witnesses, groups were firing at each other from two or more cars as people were leaving the party.
One person claims he heard at least 80 rounds fired, and when the police got there, they ran out of plastic evidence bags with which to collect the spent shell casings strewn all over the area.

One assumes that, this being an illegal gender reveal party, people thought, "we're already breaking the law, why not go all the way and add firearms offenses to the charges?"

Shootouts such as this one are becoming more and more common in the Greater Toronto Area, often with the exact same MO. Armed attackers show up in a car where they know their targets are going to be and open up on them.
But how can this be? I thought Trudeau banned all the dangerous guns.

So, why was it illigal? Is this a Covid thing, or the fire thing? I know they're blaming the fires on gender reveal parties somehow.

People fired over 80 shots at each other in a party setting and only one person was injured by gunfire apparently?

😁

To be fair in almost any combat situation a military force faces 1% accuracy for small arms is actually pretty good for anyone who isn't a sniper. Mind you a lot of the all the rounds expended will be on suppressive fire and thus barring luck won't hit anyone

Also, military engagements generally are conducted against people who know how to use cover, and go in knowing how to try to avoid dying.

Still terrible accuracy for a shoot-out though.
