GDI Honesty check

Swiss GDI/Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute/ made strange experiment - thy "lost" 17.000 wallets in 40 countries with money or not,all had e-mails.
Then waited how many would be returned.

First,of course,was Switzerland,then Nordic countries,Polans was 6,USA 21,and China last.
What is even stranger,at lest in Poland wallets with moneys were returned more then those without moneys.

Which lead us to strange effect - why one countries which do not belive in God are honest/Nordis and Netherlands/,when other/China/ are not?
Why one country with strong Faith is relatively honest/Poland/ ,when others are not/USA,Marocco,Mexico/ ?

To be honest,i do not expected that.

Well,i expected USA to be much better then Poland,but...it seems,that Democrats did much better work in educating population then i thought....

Possible,but Czech were 7,and they are atheist now.To be honest,i do not undarstandt why nordic countries are still honest,too - they once were protestants,but now they are atheists,too.

Althought,i now undarstandt why China is so low - Mao really did terrible things there.

Stable, homogenous and fairly prosperous societies that still hold vestigial bits of their old habits thet were formed when the narion was basically an extension of the family.
