My take on it: a lot of the positioning is subjective, due to the 2-dimensional mapping being only slightly less distorting than a 1-dimensional one.
For example: why is the Feudalist on the Left? To many people, he belongs with the Monarchist, the Traditionalist, and the Theocrat.
But then - why is the Theocrat dressed in Russian Orthodox garb? Within Western civilization, the most overtly theocratic group would be the Calvinists/Puritans. Traditional monarchy? Away with it! Reform all of society to be in accordance with the Word of God! Get rid of all those popish superstitions!

In one of his books, CS Lewis did a lovely hatchet-job on Calvinism by comparing them with Marxist revolutionaries.

If there's going to be something to be called 'Authoritarian Right,' it's going to be monarchists and theocrats. The former for Europeans, and the latter for Americans, though even theocracy is a stretch for the American right.

Basically every other kind of 'authoritarian' in there goes in the left. The ideology (big government, small citizen) of fascists, communists, nazis, et al, is the ideology of the left, not the right. It isn't just 'not of the right,' it is the anathema of the right.

At least claiming AnCaps are right/libertarian is fairly accurate, because it has ideological commonality with the right in general, they're just delusional about how such things could function at an extreme.

They were, however, made by a people who put too much effort into making stone images, at the expense of other things.
