There's also posadists.

When you miss very simple things like "price controls create massive black markets" it's hard to say that you're studying advanced economics. Also, "history" - every communist state has either fallen as a result of economic problems, moved away from communism, or is a tiny tinpot dictatorship. Anarchist "states" have an even worse record.

Let's start with a famous quote by Stefan Kisielewski:
"Socialism is a system in which hardships unknown in other systems are heroically struggled against."
"Socialism is greatly suited to falsify common consciousness, for it is the intellectual temptation of halfwits."

About black market, it functioned to a degree that was downright "sanctioned", hell, black market people doing "illegal" Western money exchange were mostly sanctioned secret collaborators of security apparatus.
We had parallel economy running on combination of "hard" currencies from the West and plain old barter. My grandfather worked as a driver carrying goods from various agricultural cooperatives ("spółdzielnia" in Polish), he'd always buy bits extra on the side to exchange against other stuff elsewhere.

Same with my father (Polish Army officer no less, lol...), bartering talons for cigarettes (he didn't smoke) against other stuff.

Best gigs were however with the "friendship trains" going to / from Soviet Union; gold was dirt cheap there, so you'd buy gold there and if you were permitted a passport you'd sell it against hard currency in the West, or buy luxury consumer goods in the West to sell against gold back in the East...

That of course does not include "big" things done by upper tiers of Party nomenclature as they availed themselves to spoils of the system...

Heck, even rank and file employees in state economy got "creative", for example in terms of "rationalization".

Said "rationalization" was a wonder unknown in capitalism, let me explain: say, the state-owned factories were commanded to make something new. (Whatever, could be a radio, tv, washing machine, anything really, does not matter.)

So, a design would be submitted, one showing off the advancement of socialist industry, only to be rejected because of complication / cost / reliance on Western machinery for production, or Western components that would have to be bought using "hard" currencies. (Yes, it's totally schizophrenic, but it's not a bug, it's a feature.)

Obviously, the proposed item would be rejected by Party officials due to cost reasons.

Then came the "rationalization proposal", which simplified the design, reducing costs and eliminating need for imported components.

And that project would be approved, and those who came up with "rationalization" rewarded.

What's the point? Said "something" would be at first deliberately designed in a way that was pointlessly expensive / complicated, specifically so that it could be "rationalized" later. Designing properly from get-go gave no rewards, "rationalizing" afterwards however, did.

Gaming the system at it's finest...

About history, yes, not only did communist states went belly up, their own history was re-written in the process time and again, first during Lenin's reign, then Stalin's - see the various pictures of Stalin, as others are edited out as purges went on - then with de-stalinisation once more. Each time to make fit the narrative.

(Continued due to 10 picture limit).

...of the missing comrades, only one expired due to natural causes, the rest bit the bullet.

Of the 20 ComParty delegates present: 11 got purged, 3 suicides (or "suicid-ed"), finally even Kalinin and Lenin had been edited out.

Again we see people (Pieshkov, knee of a woman on lower right) disappear.
