Sad news from the Silver State. Former US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), who won 6 statewide elections as NV Lieutenant Governor (1970) & United States Senator (1986, 1992, 1998, 2004 & 2010) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family yesterday afternoon at the age of 82.

Thoughts on Reid's impact of the United States Senate & his legacy ?

As a millenial, the defining moment of his whole lifetime and the one mistake/screw-up that basically overshadows everything else of his carreer in my loosey-goosey knowledge of the man is the 'nuclear option' changes to the filibuster he advocated and instituted.

Cancer is a bullshit illness that we can hopefully find more treatments/cures for in the coming years and rid the world of.
