Please expand on definition of "East Bloc".
COMECON/Warsaw Pact? What about any of the following:
- Albania
- China
- Cuba
- Mongolia
- NorK
- NorViet
The European Uties are fucked Big Time. No components for their industries, no internet, no e-payments, no EU subsidies ...
The Deetees are doing all right, as the Communist countries were a fraction of their trade.
The USA will be a different country as the Vietnam War either ends in '65 - if N-Viet ISOTed, or is won shortly after - if N-Viet is deetee.
Good news for Cambodia and RV.

Former East Block EU means countries that were part of the old East Block before it fell and of the European Union as of 2015.
So, the Baltic countries, Czech Republic,Slovakia, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia.

If the USSR is the 1965 version, then there is a very high chance - approaching certainty - of "nukes fall, everybody dies".
The whole WarPact is gone - and the Baltic Military Region too. This means
Would agree with Buba that the USSR won't be very happy about this, especially if the Baltic states are included. Furthermore that their lost a lot of their best units which were stationed in those territories. War is almost certain as Moscow will - probably understandably in those circumstances - panic. How destructive the following nuclear exchange would be would depend on how many longer ranged missiles they have in 1966 as a lot of the shorter ranged stuff will also have been lost and 1966 bombers will have problems, especially against 2015 air defences. Tens of millions will die, probably far more if it extends to China but probably not world ending.
One question in that with E Germany excluded from the ISOT do you mean its the 1966 E Germany or the 12015 one? I suspect the latter but could you clarify please?
Also why include Croatia, which was part of Yugoslavia rather than the Soviet bloc?

As the OP's list has Slovakia twice ("name's so nice you gotta say it twice!") I suspect that it was to be Slovenia. Hence the "ex-commie+currently EU member" criteria shines through.

Or India. Though it would be nice to try filtering out the more radical of the Muslims. Still, AFAIK, Indian Muslims are less suspectible to radicalism due to them living in an overwhelmingly non-Muslim country.
Another option is to seek immigrants from Southeast Asia, especially from non-Muslim countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, and maybe even the Indochinese countries.

Um, most of the various debit/credit cards we use are issued by local banks, and at least in my case we have local payment processors.
My cards won't stop functioning and my accounts won't disappear if my country gets ISOTed.
The money will become a lot less useful, though.
Also, all the countries involved are NATO members.
OTL uptime Eastern Europe's demographics are worse than ATL western Europe's though.
And I don't think all our industries will become completely non-viable.

I am pretty sure they will, and also point the USA to places where they can put their SLBMs.So long as you'll accept our NATO entry papers as valid!
Although ultimately none will probably be placed in the baltics and those places might be finlandized.

Don't think so, most other countries will be farther away and not be as much of a direct threat to the USSR proper, and in Poland's case they should be coming with significant military assets.
Might the Soviet Union outright invade the Baltics in this TL? Or at least insist on a land corridor between Belarus and Kaliningrad?

Probably invade outright, since they will be shocked and scared out of their pants.
The distance is IIRC around 600 km to Moscow and spitting distance to St. Petersburg.
So yeah, the Baltics eat it, and hard.
The rest, though, might be a much tougher nut to crack if they pool their resources and get reinforcements from NATO.
