Ok, I have a more sensible question...why SUDDENLY they are talking about it ?
Basically Texas started shoving immigrants into leftist shitholes, making them into even worse shitholes. Normally leftists can tolerate their shitholes, but they got sufficiently bad even they started to notice.
"Okay, Heroin needles everywhere and literal bags of human shit on the sidewalk I can tolerate, but now the Mayor is demanding that my gated community has to house migrants!?"

That's not surprising at all. By their very nature they are more inclined to play by the rules and be tolerant of others, in a live and let live sense. Not that they won't push back eventually but it will take a lot to get a conservative to that point.
The left has no such limitations. They will do anything and try and crush any dissent.
Plus the Gop having all kinds of saboteurs in the party.
Democrats pretending to be Republicans like Romney or just part of the political establishment that doesn't give a damn about conservative values, just holding onto power and not upsetting their gravy train.

What are the issues besides the physical strength issue? Genuinely curious.
You know how women prefer barbie dolls and rom-coms over muscle cars and action movies? Well shockingly that difference in mannerisms spreads to all aspects of life.
A well trained guy is capable of resisting opening fire for quite some time, women just freak out when spooked.
Basically same reason we don't use pitbulls for K9 units, they just biologically no workie.

the strength thing is vastly under stated. the difference is way beyond what modern society acknowledges.
But actually every part of a woman is not designed for combat and physically handling problems.
Their brains are wired towards socialization. They handle "fight or flight" very poorly. Even their skin is different in many ways

women do not handle "fight or flight" responses well mentally. Tending to panic, which is why female cops are such deadly killers. they panic and start shooting, all the damn time. Then they run away from the corpse they made.
Women are also significantly smaller and lighter. Do you expect a featherweight guy to wrestle down and handcuff a heavyweight?
And do so without panicking and reaching for their gun?

The psychological differences though are staggering. When a woman cop feels threatened by a man who is twice her size... she will shoot him. even if he didn't mean to threaten her. even if he was unarmed.
... or if she has no gun... well then you get unfortunate stories like how in UK the female cops get raped by the men they try to arrest instead.
There is no good solution here other than not having women as beat cops

It goes even deeper.
There is a reason why you might occasionally find a functioning matriarchal tribe or village, but never a massive empire, religion or kingdom founded and run by a woman.
Women aren't actually the cooperative or social sex as we think of it, atleast in not the ways that matter.
I'll link the sources when I find them, but studies have found that adding a woman to a group, both military or civilian, tends to decrease cohesion. The opposite was found to be true however in that it was found adding a man to an all-female workplace actually increased cohesion.

Women are far more effected by poor hygiene do to having a shorter urethra and menses. In an prolonged conflict, the lack of hygiene will cause numerous casualties due to UTIs.
Ahh yes the classic 'survival on an island' TV series which showed how fucking useless women are in groups.
IIRC within a week the men had built complicated shelters, and had all their water and food needs met, including hunting an alligator with little more than a knife.
The women, in the same week, burned through all their rations, had leaky shelters that offered no protection from the elements, and spent about 50% of the time sunbathing on the beach.

And I kid you not, there is an actual growing discourse about how sexual dimorphism in humans and differences in strength between men and women is purely the result of socialization.

Nor would you want just any woman being an LEO.
Men who meet the desired physical and psychological traits for the role aren't exactly common; any sensible person would expect women who meet them to be even more rare, purely due to the disparity in size and strength-to-weight between men and women.
...But affirmative action and DEI doesn't care about actual competence or capability. It just cares that you get the people further up the progressive stack into the role.
Worse, women who want to bully their way into jobs they aren't qualified for using the current political zeitgeist are going to have some of the worst possible traits for the role.
Women who are just oblivious, have seen too many movies where Hollywood waifs toss men around casually, and have no real conception of what physical violence is like, aren't as bad as the self-entitled zealots, but as others have said, they're likely to panic and go for the extreme option.
And unfortunately, any woman is likely to prick the ego of some insecure man-child perp who's gotten into the criminal lifestyle in large part due to insecurity and daddy issues. For such juvenlie 'men,' their pride cannot tolerate the idea of a weak woman taking them down, so they're actually more likely to start a physical confrontation in the first place.
Even if you get an abnormally large woman, who has a tough-as-nails psyche, and is a comic-book tier martial artist, the fact that most violent offenders don't give a crap about political correctness might mean there's more violence and death around her than male cops.
The real world doesn't care how offended the feminists are, and some real jackasses are part of the real world. Unsurprisingly, they're disproportionately represented among violent criminals.
