But that defense is not a defense if some other people call him treasonous scum.
It would be a defense in front of people who talk about the values of "global citizenship", but i don't think we have those here.
Want to moralize to people about how to do international conflicts, cloak and dagger shit and such, you will get told to fuck off to Russia or China, do that to them, and see what happens to you.
No country that is fully responsible for own safety and prosperity on the international arena doesn't do these things, but none wants to get caught. Airing such dirty laundry is an act serving only hostile parties on the arena.

I wish all nations and political factions i don't like would be plagued by legions of people who complain about warmongers, to be eventually taken over by them. That's what i'm gonna say upon this part of political spectrum now.
Take it as praise or hate, i wish such people a lot of success, just that this success would happen elsewhere.

On one hand, i do understand.
On the other hand, by now you certainly have heard the popular in our circles term "useful idiot", which by definition is something clearly separate from an accusation of willing association, but you also hopefully know its origin story, and its constant, if not rising prominence in modern international political skullduggery.
One doesn't need to want to serve or understand the interests of a faction or foreign state to serve them, sometime just following a naive and delusional ideology, fad or belief of the right kind serves it just as well, if not better.

China has china's interest first and foremost at heart.
They will cooperate with russia against the west. But their own benefits come first, no Russias.

I'm not stuck in binary thinking, they have their own slapfights, in fact China will probably try to get Russia down to a role of junior partner if not worse, and Russia will resent that, but despite that, as long as the West is there, they have a more naive and less violent prey to let the reins of their fantasy against, which is what Russia did by escalating the situation in Ukraine, while withdrawing troops from Kazakhstan after their grand intervention there, which is not something you usually hear of Russia doing quickly and out of own will.
They are on the same side because that's observed as the choice they have made, denying that is self-delusion.
