We need immigrants to do that, there's just not enough nurses in the country," Then you mention H1B and suddenly they're filled with distaste at those foreigners coming to steal their jobs (couched in terms of their unsuitability, generally).

They're all for immigrant labor coming to do jobs they have to pay for so it drives their personal costs down but highly against any immigrant labor doing their own jobs and driving their personal wages down, all while insisting that immigrant labor doesn't really compete and won't drive wages down.

Why not mass-import programmers and other silicon valley avenues. These fucks love foreigners so much, they can have them up and real close. Let's see how they like watching their wages disappear in a puff of competition.

I mean, there is actually a large amount of people that join the military so they can get the schooling needed, and the way into a lot of these things. I know of at least 4 people that joined the US military to become citizens so they can better thier lives for them and thier families (two females were married to soldiers) and were willing to serve at least 3 years in the US military to fight for a country they arnt from, so they can get a job that americans in Democrat states think are to low for them. These Americans want these jobs, but they arnt born here. They did something a lot of those hipsters and snowflakes will never do. Pick up a firearm to protect what they have, or dont have yet.

I wonder if these people knew the amount kf immigrants that join the military, if thier tune would change?

I agree somewhat. A society of deracinated consumers is exactly what multinationals want.

And I entirely agree the left was basically co opted and grievance/identity politics serves to weaken any sort of class opposition to capitalism. Which is why there are few orthodox marxists today.

As for civic nationalism-yeah that figures. It serves to make the “nation” as broad and ultimately meaningless a term as possible, that way the masses may feel some residual national identity, but otherwise be subjected to the supranational order.

Basically, Communism exactly like that of the USSR’s unlikely to occur....more likely you get a WOKE AF version of the CCP, if it doesn’t give way to becoming a Caliphate or certain minorities start oppressing other minorities

They will make too much use of some borderline nationalized corporations, with illusions of a free market or pretty much none at all

Instead of full Communism all you get is more regulations and taxes that ironically makes the biggest and most corrupt and most incompetent companies stronger....and you will have little choice but to buy from them

It’s easy to co-opt the ideals of those in opposition....I’ve seen Heinlein and Ayn Rand fans who look to be pretty SJW for one on reddit and even claim the Founding Fathers would be Democrats today or that being “Right Wing” means you’re like “Center Right” Western Europe
