Fanfiction.Net is having some issues again. (Discussion)

Since nobody else has made this thread, I thought I might as well! Fanfiction.net has had uploading issues since Sunday and has been on the fritz with chapters refusing to upload to the site both desktop and mobile editions, although some updates have made it to the app.

In any case what is your thoughts on the subject? Is this signs of a greater underlining problem or perhaps just a slight bug? This has happened to me once before earlier this year, although to a much limited extent and only to me, although I felt it had to do with them putting in all those new annoying advertisement's that we still have.

I was trying to upload a new story yesterday, and I was wondering why checking back hours later it still showed "no story available."

Apparently my subscribers on FF even got chapter emails with broken links.

I still can't get over how every third to half a page I have to close an advertisement imbedded in there. And thats when reading a story. Incredibly frustrating.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly when they started it, in the past year or so but it's getting overwhelming, no offense to the staff over there, but they aren't nearly active or numerous enough to be making bank on these advertisement's for what they do beyond the tech aspect as they aren't doing much 24/7...

I think Fanfiction.net has been circling the drain for the past decade. My experience in the past few years is that the website always updates new chapters when it feels like it, and it will pass on reviews whenever it feels like it, and it will tell you that you have a private message only when you log in and check for yourself.

IMO, that's the sign of a dying website. I'd recommend backing up everything and hoping for a fanfiction host to come along that isn't AO3.
