How much of what is seen in the bible is a reflection of what humanity is instead of vice versa? As you can probably guess, I'm not a religious person, I do not believe everything is done to the whims of a single being or a group of beings of any kind. I am Irreligious the same way I am Apolitical, people use both as an excuse to be assholes to others because 'its what is says in my religion' or 'its what my political slant is'. It tends to be one or the other or the worst ones do both at the same time, its even worse when people create religion (or a branch of it) or a faction of a political party to make their views even more arrogant and cretinous.

Because the nature of the world reflects the work of an intelligent designer, and the nature and behavior of humanity perfectly reflects what is described in the Bible.
The Bible was written by our ancestors.

The current nature of the world does not reflect intelligent design. It was all random chance aligning in a very lucky way that we observed, tried to make sense of, and explained as best we could way back when.

If you were to tell an ancient exactly why grain alcohol is ok to drink but wood alcohol will blind someone ... they'd look at you funny because a recipe for beer was considered important enough to record on clay tablets back when writing something down was still a new thing.

The mods already ported an argument on this to the philosophy forum about a week ago; I'm not going to start it back up here.

You're leaving a lot of existential questions unanswered with this kind of stance.

Nope, humanity does that to itself, be they religious, athiest or agnostic. I'm saying that why is religion more rational than any other view?
Because LordsFire is an incredibly religious person, and personal bias is a thing that exists. Not that I necessarily disagree with the position that atheists are irrational; absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, after all.

Honestly life has taught me to learn how to read a room. if you want an as unbiased of an answer as possible, Don't ask specific demographics certain questions and not expect certain answer. Don't ask a priest or a Rabbi about religion, don't ask a hippie about the environment, don't ask a Mennonite about modern tech and don't ask a communist (or corporatist for that matter) about the economy. At the very least, if you do any of the above, expect a sales pitch.

I have a lot more intellectual respect for agnostics than atheists. They're more honest.

Has nothing to do with rational atheists are arrogant pricks, Tanya fucks herself over by refusing to worship the god.

Yeah, skimming the wiki page it sounds like thein-story issue is less "doesn't believe in god" and more "doesn't believe in God in the most fedora tipping edgelord manner possible".

There's also evidence for the scientific basis of existence and the creation of life, enough that some subsects of religious belief can't be correct about it.

Yes, the science is very clear on the issue, and a variety of religious groups don't like what the facts demonstrate. The most commonly-held atheist dogmas about the origins of life are part of what is contradicted by said facts. Like I said, there's a thread over in the philosophy forum on this.

Wherein you completely misunderstood very basic functions of statistics and have yet to respond to me pointing this out, making it very clear you are talking bullshit because you are rejecting out-of-hand and wildly misunderstanding corrections to your own figures.

Again, three orders of magnitude of digits difference for an input number. The difference between billions of digits and millions.

Let's get back on topic of shitlords, and off the topic of creationism/intelligent design/atheism/etc.

Donald Trump hits a hole in one. An actual one, not a Kim Jong Un one.
