I would have to point out that while Iberian colonialism was “humane”, sarcasm noted, it produced too many shitholes and not enough First World status nations. The only reason why the USA is able to screw with Latin America is because the latter is a collection of shitholes. My own country, which is also a byproduct of Iberian colonialism, never truly became a First World nation in its own right. Thus, the Iberians can claim to be humane in their colonization of the Americas and my own country, but they could never get rich in the same level as the British and Dutch. Only the latter managed to build a few First World tier nations through, ironically enough, inhumane policies.

Blame progressives for that.When they destroyed jesuits,education in South America was mostly destroyed,too.
